Both series are about kitties :3

They're both anime about cats. Although She and Her Cat is somewhat 'dark' compaired to the light heartedness of Chi's , I found them cute anime. She and Her Cat is an OVA while Chi's Sweet Home is a series. Must watch!

Primarily, both involve animals and have short episode lengths - Chi's Sweet Home with episodes around 2:30 minutes each and Damekko Doubutsu with times around 5:00 minutes in length. They're both sweet and comedic, and both are meant for children. Damekko doesn't have the 'Awww' factor that Chi does, however, but they are both similar in other respects.

Both anime are about cats that are taken in by people, and the stories are told by the cat's point of view. However, Chi's Sweet Home is a lot more comedic while Kanojo to Kanojo no Neko: Everything Flows has more drama. Finally, the episodes are shorter than the average 24 minutes. IF YOU LOVE CATS, THEN YOU MUST WATCH THESE!

The daily life and adventures of a pet. Hamtaro is aimed even more towards kids, as the anime gives these animals more personification than the animals of Sweet Home.

Dark Side Cat and Chi's Sweet Home are both about cats and are shorts.

Both anime are about a cute cat and their family and their everyday adventures.

Short-episode series revolving around cats. For cat and comedy lovers.

Chi's Sweet Home is about a cozy, harmonious family rescuing a cat and making her a part of the family. Itoshi no Muco is similar in that it's about a glass smith living ontop of a mountain with his Akita Inu, who is basically family. He has friends visit often to play with his fur baby too! Both Chi and Muco have a charming, cozy atmosphere with occasional cheery humor.

Both are cute slice of life series about raising pets, and both have short episodes.

Comedy story Silect of life but lucky star About girl and chi"s sweet home It"s about cat but all It"s cute anime ^_^

Both are about an abandoned kitten who gets taken in by a family and cared for. The kitten 'talks' a lot throughout the show, although while the watcher hears 'human words' from her, the human characters in the show only hear meows.

Cuteness overload.

Cute cat shorts to sooth your frayed and exhausted soul. Chi has more baby talk, and HataNii has more animal jokes.

Anime with short episodes about an adorable chibi cat and about how cats interract with human world. If you're a cat lover, you will enjoy those.

Bothe series involve very cute cats doing very cute things such as cutting robots into little pieces and trying to bring family members back to life. If you enjoyed the refreshing and cute atmosphere of "Chi's Sweet Home" then you will most certainly enjoy Nekojiru-sou for... well... you know... There are cats in it too!

Chi's Sweet Home and Nichijou are anime's that have the same feel. Both are slice of life anime's and both have a similar art style. They are great comedies that everyone should give a try.

Cats + Iyashikei. That's basically it. Both are relaxing and cute in their own way (of course, involving cats). For those who just want to relax and have fun with short episodes, watch these two animes.

Can't get enough of cats? Ramen Akaneko is a highly underappreciated cat anime that deserves far more attention. Its more adult oriented than Chi and includes cats and a tiger. Plus they are 24 minute episodes consisting of 2 skits each. Plus there is a recap after the credits that help lend some breath and depth to the characters and the Akaneko world. Give it a try whether you are a cat lover or not. Quite tasty.

Two slice of life shows seen trough the eyes of a domestic cat, with inner monologue as source of comedy. The two cats themselves are polar opposites. Chi is a young, curious, naive and playful female kitten living with a young family, whose young daughter is her best friend. Tsushima is an old, grumpy, smug, lazy and mildly sadistic tomcat living with two other cats and an old lady. Both shows manage to make me think "yea, this is probably how cats really think", i.e. they are very well observing and using feline antics.

Both Chi and Haru are stray cats that are taken in by luck to a semi-reluctant new owner. (Semi-reluctant for different reasons mind you. Subaru likes to be alone, and the Yomada's landlady doesn't allow pets.) Both cats quickly adjust to being pets, and in both cases the humans end up keeping the stray cat they found.

Morita-san and Chi's Sweet Home are short slice of life anime about a silent protagonist doing silly things in each episode.
report Recommended by Third-Impact
Both are anime with short episode(s) about a kid that finds a cat they want to keep. While Kuro Nyago is more fantasy, Chi's Sweet Home is more comedy.
report Recommended by abystoma2
Both animes revolve around a main character who's an animal and they're mainly directed to children. They both have short episodes that are easy to watch.

Cute, funny and short ^_^

Cute comedy shows with animals as the main characters. The animals can talk (but Chi does not talk with the humans) and have funny adventures. The families who keep the pets are very similar too - mother, father and a son. Higepiyo may be bit more for older kids, while Chi can be enjoyed regardless of age.

Short episodes and main characters in both are animals.

Both are cute, funny and each episode is about 2/3 minutes long

They are both funny(how can kitties and fairies who know absolutely nothing about life not be funny?), they both have a slice-of-life feel(fairies learning about Japanese customs and a kitty living with a regular family learning rules), and they are both completely adorable! How can kitties and fairies not be adorable?!

Both are anime shorts only about 3 minutes long~ Though one may be about the lives of Highschool girls and the the other the life of a kitten, both detail short fun Slice-of-Life adventures that leave you feeling cheery afterwards~
report Recommended by Fishcaek-Chan
Both set in simple surroundings and settings (although AY is more simple than Chi), both feature animals in fun, comedic, heartwarming, and dramatic (less in Chi) scenes in they're series. Although Animal Yokocho features three animals from "another realm", Chiizuu just features a normal cat . Chiizuu follows more a realistic plot based on things that really might happen or does happen with cats, while Animal Yokocho is full with weird stuff (hence: "another realm" earlier). Both very enjoyable for young kids, and adults.

Both focus around a pet as the main character. Chi's Sweet Home is a cute story that follows Chi, an innocent kitten as she gets into mischief. Wan Wan Serepu Soreyuke! Tetsunoshin follows Tetsunoshin, a pet dog who loves his owner. Although Wan Wan is a bit silly with the dogs in the story transforming from dogs to Anthro (human with animal features) and even to actual humans, both anime have are sweet and fun.
report Recommended by TehWhiteTiger
They are both really a series of 5 minute shorts about everyday life, in the case of Chi it's a cat, and in the case of Kaa-san, it's about children mainly. The art is a little cuter in Chi than in Kaa-san, and there is more of obviously autobiographical aspect in the Kaa-san series, and also there is more of a continuing story with Chi (this also applies to Chi's New Home, by the way). But both are a story of funny, cute, even touching moments in the daily life of Chi or a mom.

very funny short series

Both anime shorts about cute animals that can talk. Shiba Inuko-san can talk directly to people, however Chi's voice is only heard by the audience and other animals on the show.
