Chi's Sweet Home

Cat stories, funny and enjoyable. Both show a family adopting a stray cat and seeing it doing extremely cute and funny random stuff during 3-minutes episodes. Chi is closer to reality I think - well Poyo IS a round cat, after all - and the kitty acts like a real kitty would (that's to say : in an extremely cute way). Poyopoyo is a bit exaggerating sometimes, making it funnier in a way but putting the "cute" aside. Chi's also more focused on the cat, as its thoughts are put into words, while in Poyopoyo we have the family's point of view. These series show slice-of-life based stories about homeless cats that gets adopted by a family. Cute cats that melts the heart of the human family members so much that their prime focus stays on the cats no matter what they are doing. While Chi's Sweet Home mainly shows Chi's daily life activities and how that affect her family, Poyopoyo is about the story of the whole family and their interactions. This little difference turns Chi's Sweet Home into a cute cat story with funny elements, and Poyopoyo as a hilarious story with a bit of over-the-top comedic elements. 

Two slice of life comedies on a cat being picked up by a family and their everyday living in their new home. The cats in both shows are really cute and the atmosphere can be really sweet and heartwarming. Both anime's having the same episode durations as each other, they're very similar in this aspect too. 

Both of these are about cute cats, and their daily antics. If you're a cat lover like me, and enjoy seeing these cute creatures, then I think you'll like what they have to offer. Both of these shows have fairly short episodes, and aren't too demanding with their stories or characters. You can watch a couple of episodes, stop for a while, and pick it back up later, with little problems. 

Both are cute, short episode series aimed at children (though I find that anyone can enjoy these). Both contain an adorable little cat just trying to make it through whatever life throws at them!

To the cats lovers, both have these cunning and loose animals as protagonists. The difference is that "Chi's Sweet Home" has a much larger number of episodes and is more "realistic", showing the daily life of an ordinary cat who thinks only in play and eat. On the other hand, "Nyanpire The Animation" has a silly vampire cat as the main, who has as friends a cat samurai, a cat angel and etc. In this feline contest, even though immortal Nyanpire loses badly for the cute Chi, that displays in her anime a humor more refined and stories more attractives.  

Both short, cute and about nekos, perfect for neko lovers. But chi's sweet home is better just my opinion. 

Both are shorts about cute cats, Chi is more realistic while Nyanpire has a gothic vibe. 

Both are told from a cat's point of view.  

About cats for cats lovers 

Both about kitties <3 Alltough this one is a bit more..emotional :P 

They are both pure cuteness with a bit of humor and the episodes are extremely short (although Chi's Sweet Home are much shorter). Both have to do with talking animals and are pretty random with no real plot. Both are great to watch in one long boring day. 

They both have an animal theme. They both have adorable characters. Episodes that last 5 minutes or less. No plot line but still enjoyable. 

Central characters are very cute :) Also, both revolve around the daily antics of these characters. Damekko Doubutsu is much shorter and even more simple, but both appeal to people who enjoy short, fun episodes.

From what I've seen, they both seem to be cute, funny kid shows. They both deal with the lives of an animal; their adventures and relationships with their owners. 

Both has explosive cuteness in every episode. Both are about the main (animal) character's adventures or experiences. Both are adorably animated in a way that makes you smile.  

Both are anime with short episodes. Both are about cats, but while Chi's Sweet Home is more slice of life, Darks Side Cat is more action. Everyone who likes cats will enjoy both of those. 

Both about a pet's adventures and experiences 

Fuzzy animals behaving semi-anthropomorphically in a very laid-back, slice of life with comedic moments. Chi's Sweet Home is about the antics of an energetic kitten that very much acts like a normal kitten and relies on that for humor; Shirokuma Cafe is about a polar bear running a cafe with animals that are obviously rather more human-like and relies more on wordplay. Both very family friendly, but perhaps too slow-moving for most kids. 

Two slice of life anime's dedicated to formerly stray cute cats living in a household of two parents and a son. Main difference is that the cat in Mikan can talk like a human whereas what we hear spoken by Chi are her thoughts. The child characters in Mikan are a bit older compared to the ones in Chi but they do have a similar aspect in the essence of family within both. In turn with their plots, Mikan is more suited for an audience starting from maybe around their teens whereas Chi is more for an audience starting from a very young age. Slightly similar casting too where both have Satomi Koorogi (only as a minor character in one episode on Mikan) and Etsuko Kozakura (appears much later in Mikan). Their plots do differ a fair bit with what happens each episode but are two shows worth each other. read more

Lovely pets, doing funny things. Both speak, although they are not understood by their owners. Heartwarming shows with good comedy.
