Dr. Stone has Doctor in it. Cells at Work are about cells at work. In other words, both have science in it. Yet unlike Magic Schoolbus, they educate you in ANIME STYLE. There are plot lines, people dying, and most importantly SCIENCE. Seriously though, it's kind of amazing how accurate the concepts can be in both of these shows. Yet the way they portray it doesn't just serve as a means to explain these concepts, rather the concepts drive the plot forward. Dr. Stone isn't actually about a doctor, more about a mad kid scientist who is plunged into a world of petrification. It's a survival anime, with its protagonist being a nerd. Not only a nerd, but a nerd with spiky hair. With the world plunged into the stone age after thousands of years of petrification, our anime science protagonist seeks to bring the world back to the Science Age as soon as possible. Cells at Work is just as chaotic, but now you are placed inside the human body. Follow the UPS red blood cell deliverywoman as she faces the chaos within the human body: Viruses, allergies, heat stroke, and even cancer will be shanked by the CIA White Blood Cells in the most brutal ways imaginable. All while giving lessons about how the body works by your friendly neighborhood Tour Guide Narrator. Funny science animes! 

Both of them can make you learn about science with a simple explanation. But sometimes there is a little mistakes and oddities that make it seem fictional. Well, the story is still interesting so I recommend it. 

If you are looking for a casual way to learn something, you should definitely give it a try. While "Cells at Work" focus more on the biological side of things, "Dr. Stone" has the chemical and physical. Personally, I found Hataraku Saibou way more educational because it doesn't really focus on its story. But I must say, Dr. Stone's way of educating is really rewarding, for lack of a better word. As I said, you definetly should give it a try! ^^

Both shows have a heavy focus on science and have a good comedy element. 

Both are educational enough to not make you confused. It involves more of biology branch of science though rather than chemistry in Dr. Stone.  

These two shows use anthropomorphism to illustrate an entity's "way of life". Hataraku Saibou illustrates the daily function of cells through human jobs and personalities. Hetalia illustrates the intermingled history of countries through its affinity or lack of affinity between characters as well as portraying their culture through habits and personality traits of their characters. 

Both shows humanize inanimate objects, in not only for humorous purposes but also to shed light on the real-life actions behind them (the human body in Cells at Work and the country relations during WWII in Hetalia) Similarly, both shows consist of a large cast, yet focuses mostly on select few members  

educational shows that teach facts from their respective fields presented in a fun form. 

Both are fun and educational shows about microbiology and how it influences daily life. 

Both talk about different kinds of cells that are hard to pronounce if you're no expert in science. Both are comedies and educational.. 

So you know when you are the night before an exam but you don't really want to study and prefer to watch anime. Then those two anime are perfect for you. They both have science theme anime that does present accurate representation of their respective field. They also represent the information in simple terms that can be easily understood.The amount of information I learn about biology in those two anime is really surreal. So if you do like one then you will like the other.  

Both are shows about human body, with anthropomorphized cells as characters. While Hataraku Saibou usually focuses on how the body fights against threats in more action-oriented manner and with very anime presentation, Micro Patrol explains how human body works more thoroughly, is more cartoony, educational and aimed at children. 

They take place in a human body, where cells work together to fight viruses, repair the body and transport oxygen. They both teach you some useful stuff about the cells and what's going on in the human body. Hataraku Saibou just does it in a more anime-feeling way, while Seimei is meant more for kids. They are really similar, but if you enjoyed Hataraku Saibou, you shouldn't really go watch Seimei, I'm just putting it out there. 

We have anthropomorphic cells that run through your body and the both shows explains in a fun interactive way a bit how your body works. If you liked Hataraku Saibou (Cells at Work!) you could enjoy Seimei no Kagaku: Micro Patrol, no doubt. I've seen Seimei no Kagaku: Micro Patrol (aka. "Once Upon a Time... Life") dubbed in my mothers tounge back in the day when I was a kid not only once, but twice.  

Land of the Lustrous and Cells at Work! are both adaptations of manga from a monthly magazine published by Kodansha. The characters in both series are humanoid versions of non-human things, cells in Cells at Work! and gems in Land of the Lustrous. Everyone in each society has a specific role that they are best at and must do. The society in each anime must fight of an invading species, Lunarians in Land of the Lustrous and Bacteria in Cells at Work!. The main character in both series aren't good at their job at first, but slowly improve over the show. 

the plot is not really as similar or its not as serious as houseki no kuni but the general idea kind of is. What i realized the most similar thing are the main characters they are both as clumsy pretty much they have the same tasks and life style, even hold the same clipboard for the entire series, its just that phos develops later on and changes to a total new person. So yea if u like phos in first episodes you might like the blood cell girl from cells at work.  

Both anime show how nature works, in an entertaining and simple way. One humanizes cells to explain how the human body works, and the other creates human-like designers that make creatures based on god's petitions, but in both is explained why they are as they are and what happens when they're not. 

both have a really calm vibe. 

Both shows have great characters and are pretty entertaining, but both of these shows will go off on educational tangents for a good chunk of each episode. If you’re in the mood for some learning, I’m sure these parts are great, but if you’re not, these parts are pretty boring. 

lol both are same heroes or cells fighting monsters or germs cool action nd animation entertaining to watch 

If you were a little bored of Cells At Work but liked the whole concept, than this is the anime for you! Cells At Work!CODE BLACK has the same format as Cells At Work, teaching you about cells and how they function, but with a twist! Cells At Work!CODE BLACK covers darker topics such as drinking, smoking, etc... and how they can affect your cells. It’s sort of like a dystopian version of Cells At Work, with the cells questioning their existence and showing the misery that they experience doing the same job every day for the rest of their lives. This will definitely keep you entertained, with more diverse characters and a scarier reality than the usual cheerful Cells At Work vibe. read more
