At first these anime don't look similar at all. But upon closer examination we can see that IWGP is a didactic anime disguised as a series of loosely linked adventures, just like Hataraku Saibou -although less explicitly.
The similarities end here though: where IWGP talks about present-day Japanese society, HS teaches us about our body. But if you like this type of narration, I suggest you to give a chance to Hataraku Saibou because I found it funnier and overall more enjoyable than IWGP
