The main protagonist in both anime is a young girl with psychic abilities that can kill people with gruesome attacks and are driven to insanity after being tested upon in laboratories from an evil organization. Both anime contains a lot of blood, gore, and nudity. They also have a similar dark and gritty tone. If you liked one, you'd like the other.

Both anime involve a protagonist who is being held hostage by scientists for research purposes in order to transform them into weapons. Both characters are capable of morphing into a strong monster that kills other people. Genocyber and Baoh have demonstrated certain character links deep inside their personalities. They are also action-packed anime with plenty of violence and gore with a dark and bleak sci-fi tone. If you liked one, you'll like the other.

Both titles are set in the near future and are very dark, violent, bloody, and can be rather psychological at times. They both have strange powerful beings and deals with a young protagonist that has an unusual power to gives them to kill people with over the top gruesome attacks. If you like one, you should probably like the other.

- Part of an experiment, a girl (Gunnm is cyborg, in Genocyber biological weapon) discovers that its function is to fight, in a cruel world. Where your feelings get all your anger, to achieve happiness with the person you love.

Similar in animation style as well as levels of violence. Both are lighter on plot, in Jojo's case this is due to storyline compression where with Genocyber the plot is thin to begin with. However, they are both enjoyable in their own ways

Oldschool body horror OVAs for those who enjoy some blood and guts. Lily CAT is lower on violence than Genocyber, but it actually has a good plot.

Highly violent products of their time, both are simple in nature and have nonsensical stories that often focus on shock value and unique ways of implementing gore and viscera

Extreme gore content. One is about ghosts while the other is more about SF creatures, but both doesn't hesitate to show violent deaths of children and teenagers.

Both are action-packed anime and came out in a similar time period (late 1980's-early 1990's) filled with violence, blood, and gore. Both anime have similar animation, similar vibe, and a similar dark sci-fi tone. The main protagonist in both titles can obliterate their enemies with gruesome attacks and must fight against a secret organization that wants to use their power for evil. The Guyver has a better story and execution, but they are both entertaining to watch. If you like one, you may like the other.

"Genocyber" and "Call Me Tonight" feature a seemingly normal individual who is capable of transforming into a powerful monster via supernatural means. People become terrified upon witnessing the monster's terrifying appearance and its power, so many attempt to annihilate it with a variety of weaponry.

"Genocyber" and "Demon of Steel: Battle of the Great Demon Beasts" / "Daimajuu Gekitou: Hagane no Oni" are mature sci-fi anime that involve powerful monstrosities destroying humanity. The violent action scenes of these two works both involve modern militaries and create similar atmospheres of terror.

Two stories that engage with the idea of "the spectacle," and the violence that both fuels and is hidden by capitalism and progress.
