Kimi no Iru Machi

Both of the anime give off similar vibes. in both stories the guy comes from country-side to urban area to attend school. both stories switch settings between the guys hometown and the city. the guy and girl have an on/off relationship throughout the story 

This is perfect story like Golden time. 

Really similar animes. (Love triangle, drama, focus on the main character, slice of life etc..) Kimi No Iru Machi is way more fast-paced, and Golden Time is generally better in his story-telling/animation and characters. But both shows are really enjoyable if you like romantic comedy with a lot of drama.  

When I watched these two anime, the backstory from each MC is kinda similar and somehow gave me tge same type. Both of the male MC's backstory is similar too, moving out from a small village/town to a big city to start a new life. Both of the anime has a romantic and dramatic story to tell, and both story is focused on the male MC 

Both anime series are adapted from the manga by the same author (Seo). Hence, expect similar themes, artwork design, and setting. Then, there's the mood of the series which is a mixture of comedy, drama, and romance. Speaking of which, the main male protagonist is the center of it all. The addition in Suzuka is the sports theme involving track and field. In Kimi no Iru Machi (A Town Where You Live), there's more of drama. Both series also takes place in a school life setting with a SoL vibe to it. 

Same original mangka, so the art is nearly identical. Also the same universe, and extremely similar characters and situations. Both have the protagonist reaching for a seemingly unreachable girl. The only real difference between the two is the focus on Suzuka's sport in her story, and the focus on Haruto and Eba's life in tiers. 

I thought of Suzuka a lot while I was watching Kimi no Iru Machi. I've come to hear now that they are adapted from the same author. -Similar art -Characters breaking up and forming new relationships -Excellent story progression -Revelations of past events as the story unfolds -Both have great songs that stuck in my head for weeks. 

Both shows deal with complicated love triangles and focus on the ups and downs of romantic relationships.  

Both series are considered romance anime that depicts the main male protagonist getting involved with various girls. However, there are problems that occurs throughout both series that hinders relationships such as accidents and misunderstandings. The main male protagonist from both series are a bit indecisive at various points but does make certain decisions on his own for the benefit of others. There's also some comedy and fan service. Kimi ga Nozomu Eien adapts more of a serious mood though especially in the beginning. However, both series has a similar atmosphere. 

Both deal with a guy in dilema about past and present love. Although kimi ga nozomu eien have a few eechi scenes but kimi no inai machi had me cry at the other tragic love ending. Ultimately the girl who was true d8dnt get the guy. Same on both sides. 

Both shows follow similar patterns, regarding a former love interest coming back after being away for so long, and inadvertently messing up the MC's current relationships. They both also deal with lots of dramatic cases where each character is both right and wrong, and makes it hard to put blame on a single character 

Love and drama in every chapter. A couple has a troubles by the past from one of them, family trouble, love trouble, confusion, friendship troubles, ah, so very dramatic series. Bokura ga ita has a little bit more comedy. In Kimi no iru machi the story is narrated by the boy (haruto) but in Bokura ga ita the story is narrated by the girl (nana-chan) 

Both are about Love triangle chasing love and the complex selfish side of love 

The way it make you angry and frustrated in the end with two main leads and horrible out come.
