Featured Articles: Yume Nikki Fangames
Yume Nikki is an experimental Japanese indie game from 2004 by developer Kikiyama created on Enterbrain's RPG Maker 2003. It's original elements of gameplay have inspired a large cult following and a wide variety of fangames and spiritual successors. This wiki is a place to document and celebrate these games, as well as provide walkthroughs, galleries, translations, and analysis. You can get started by viewing the directory of games as linked below, searching the wiki to find a page you're looking for, or contributing by adding your knowledge to the database. You can also check other games that were inspired by Yume Nikki by clicking on some of these sprites from below (the first one is the original Yume Nikki).

Featured Character: Mary
Mary (メアリー Mearī) is both the main antagonist and tritagonist in the game Ib. Even though Mary seems like an ordinary human, she is actually the last painting that Guertena ever worked on. Her goal is to exit the cursed gallery of the Fabricated World to the real world in order to make a new life for herself and make many friends, but her dream can only be reached if she manages to sacrifice the life of someone from the real gallery before jumping through the Fabricated World painting.
Top Indie RPG Games
This is a particular Top since probably an internet veteran knows more than I do about this very niche genre of video games. Regardless of what you might think, I haven't reached the bottom of the Indie RPG Iceberg yet because most of the ones I've played are popular (popular by standards).
Anyways, an Indie RPG would be defined as a game developed by an independent person using programs that simulate the style of 16-bit role-playing video games. However, this is something more than aesthetic since most of these do not always comply with what you would normally find in an RPG (HP System, EXP, Items), but rather focus more on the art that its creator wishes to represent; it can be an adventure story, surreal or fantasy.
