Inuyashiki

Ichirou Inuyashiki is a 58-year-old family man who is going through a difficult time in his life. Though his frequent back problems are painful, nothing hurts quite as much as the indifference and distaste that his wife and children have for him. Despite this, Ichirou still manages to find solace in Hanako, an abandoned Shiba Inu that he adopts into his home. However, his life takes a turn for the worse when a follow-up physical examination reveals that Ichirou has stomach cancer and only three months to live; though he tries to be strong, his family's disinterest causes an emotional breakdown. Running off into a nearby field, Ichirou embraces his dog and weeps—until he notices a strange figure standing before him.

Suddenly, a bright light appears and Ichirou is enveloped by smoke and dust. When he comes to, he discovers something is amiss—he has been reborn as a mechanized weapon wearing the skin of his former self. Though initially shocked, the compassionate Ichirou immediately uses his newfound powers to save a life, an act of kindness that fills him with happiness and newfound hope.

However, the origins of these strange powers remain unclear. Who was the mysterious figure at the site of the explosion, and are they as kind as Ichirou when it comes to using this dangerous gift?

( HOOD REVIEW )

Going into this anime i didn’t expect much ! But i was pleasantly surprised! Another emotional roller coaster ! This is an adult anime for sure ! I mean it is COLD BLOODED , i mean walk in the house kill the mom, dad, grandma, & kids type shit ! It was moments in the anime where i had to sit up in my bed like “ain’t no way” !?.

I definitely recommend this anime . It’s a lil bit of CGi in the anime but it’s not enough to the point where it annoys you ! If you’re a big serial ... killer fan then this is the anime for you ! Definitely one of them anime when you kinda side with the villain & then he starts doing to much 😂,

Mixed Feelings

Inuyashiki- an anime that have the potential to be one of the greatest anime of all time, got butchered in every way - Story, Character, except the animation. Now, i wont give a big ass explanation here. I will just tell everything on point.
The animation is 10/10, no issues here.
And the story, the story-it had immense potential, like it could have been as great as animes like AOT. They got all that plot smashed into a mere 11ep, huh? Also, there are many things that looked very odd.
Many things were missed that could have make the show even greater. The grandpa, could ... have easily been one of the greatest MC ever. And Hiro,the villain, had the lot to be the greatest villain ever. But what happened? Bro at first kills, then becomes good dude then again starts killing. With that story, the author could have expanded it all over the world, the MC and The villain had powers that could have shaken the whole world, but got confined into the japanese neighbourhoods. Also, a superhuman being like Inuyashiki, the grandpa roaminh around the streets and nobody knows about it? Huh? And the most illogical shit, there are two superhuman beings with powers to destroy the whole world, and the USA doesnt intervene? What is it? A fairy tale? A world where USA doesnt fuck around? So much potential- MC's character had way more space to develope, as well as for the villain. There is no explanation about the villain's Past and Psychology. It was like Hiro randomly started killing for no reason. There were so much room in the story for many characters to be introduced. Love,Hope,Betrayal, Heroism and many more chemistry could have been created among these characters. MOST IMPORTANTLY! The author literally ignored the existence of Aliens, There could be a whole arc about these aliens, why are they roaming around the earth, WHAT are they, WHAT they want and what is there origin. I mean this story could have expanded throughtout the galaxy, going beyond earth. But,NO! There were mentioned for a second and were never discussed again. As the aliens exist, it is possible there are one or two more superhuman beings across the world that could have made the story more interesting. The ending,was good, but it needed more depth, it needed more writing.

At the end, i want to say that,basically all the character havent got any depth and needed better writing. The character of hiro was very plain.

All over, This anime had the potential to be one of the greatest anime with over 40+episodes,with story having unlimited potential. But, sigh.

If you want to watch it, i wanna say that, it isnt that bad, it is good but, if want something with more depth and good writing this aint for you.

This is a slasher flick in the form of anime.

It follows all the trappings of one. The characters have no agency on their own and move as the plot dictates. Events make no sense, often run counter to logic or ignore obvious solutions and only happen as necessary in order to move the plot forward along the rails the author wishes to lay.

The animation makes heavy use of 3D. I have nothing against the use of 3d in anime (I still enjoy the early RWBY seasons), and to a certain extent it is required by the artistic design they're pursuing. However the 3D is very ... obvious and not well integrated. If I was to speculate, this looks like an experimental project for the studio to fine tune their 3D pipeline and that's okay, but failing to blend the 2D and 3D aspects well does merit docking some points.

Now, I know some people enjoy letting themselves be taken on the ride, and looking for logic or consistency is counter to the fun. However, I personally find these kinds of stories frustrating to watch. Although there does come a point where it gets so bad it loops around to being good again. In that vein, this can probably be enjoyed in good company, or if you like that type of entertainment.
