Helloooo =D I wanted to thank you for the Secret Santa rec!!! I took way too long 'cause I didn't have the time, but I got to finish it today! I was the shinsekai yori recipient! I think I most probably wouldn't watch it for myself, so thanks for the push! It was a super interesting watch! While I think there is room for improvement in some areas, I like thinking about the overall experience, and in this case I'm actually really grateful for going through it. It was an unique anime that provided something new, and that by itself is already something that makes me happy. I gave it a 6/7 but that is a good score in my book! A bunch of anime I like are there for a number of reasons. In this case is because the tense atmosphere is not something I reeeaaally enjoy, while I def like watching those type of anime from time to time. And because I thought the directing (or writing?) was a bit messy at some points, like some reveals timed in a weird way. Some had the potential to cause a big impact, but were revealed in a casual way, in the wrong time imo. And if you think hard you still have a bunch of questions that can cause plotholes (plus I didn't vibe that much with the charas, but that's pretty common for me to happen 🥴🥴, I'm a bit annoying at this point). But still, a very interesting story! I'm happy I got the chance to watch it, and it'll probably be engraved in my mind for some time. I hope you have a nice 2023 😁😁🙏

Hey, thanks for the santa gift. Aharen-san is indeed a show to sit back with to watch a 2 deadpan quarrel grow beyond friendship. Sadly it felt lacking in many areas and that removed my motivation to continue watching it. It did got a laugh out of me at some point, but the jokes kept being over the top and I prefer to see some kind of realisticness which was clearly not the goal of the show. I gave it a 5/10

Hey, thanks for the secret santa gift! I didn't get a chance to watch through all of it yet, because I'm a slow anime watcher, but I'm liking it so far. It's giving me Cardcaptor Sakura vibes, probably because it's a shoujo-ish show from the 90s. I appreciate that you gave me something unique that I don't normally watch, as I'm always looking to broaden my horizons. Have a good 2023!
