Yeah I'd say that I can feel that way about mostly concept driven characters too, I just don't have any I consider to be that way on my current top 25. I recall having at least one on my expanded favorites list though. I guess more than strict rules that my favorites act by, I was mostly just describing the overall characteristics of my top 25 right now, even if I might've not expressed myself the best way there.
But yeah you could say most of them are still characters I feel quite a bit about, but at the same time I don't feel the same level of attraction towards all of them.
Will check out the playlist and then give you my thoughts about it. Also feel free to share whatever ost, even if it's from a series I haven't watched.

I'm glad you see me that way, since it's something I try to achieve, though I feel like I could still do better in that regard sometimes.

My decision on reducing my favorites on anilist was more based on perfectionism and practical reasons, since the favorites displayed on the profile front page are limited to 25. I did that to my favorite anime and staff members too. The fact I wanted my list to feel more special and efficient helped my decision.
I feel like my favorite characters are there for various reasons, but if I'd have to sum them up, I'd say I'm mostly attracted to their concept and execution. They are the ones that positively affect me the most to this day. They have to be complex enough to feel like real people, yet coherent enough to be memorable. They don't need to be the trigger of emotional scenes, but I have to feel strongly about them.

So glad you're enjoying it this much. It's hard not to love all the main girls. My favorites are also Akari and Alice, but I love how distinct each one of them is, yet at the same time you can feel similarities between tutor and pupil. Their chemistry feels very natural. I love it whenever an episodic series feels like it amounts to something at the end of the day, and this one is no exception. They grow individually and their struggles are different from one another, but the overarching vibe is always present.
Wish I was more like Akari sometimes, but I'll take the compliment ;) thanks.

yeah, i don't add rewatches on MAL but i like to rewatch shows, especially some specific favorites and some really chill, digestible and fun shows for the most part. i tend to not rewatch heavier and more emotional shows (with some exceptions). how about you?
