よろしくにゃ!
I'm a 20something who is a sucker for action, fanservice, good bgm, balanced characters, and an engaging conflict. Girls with guns/guitars are a plus too!
Japanese cultural exports were always in my life - from Hamataro, Sailor Moon, Digimon, Yugioh, and Pokemon. Years later Toonami's airing of Naruto had me hooked but I couldn't cope with the cliffhangers during the Neji fight so I sought out the show in Japanese online. I immediately preferred the Japanese cast, and then the rest was history. It took many years and serious immersion in Japan to cycle back where I started appreciating dubs again - as there's lots of comedy and inflections that just don't exist in Japanese.
My ratings are softballed and I don't enjoy writing or consuming essay format diatribes on anime and would rather do anything than watch a video-essay. Let's just say I respect honesty in art and really dislike pretentious works.

please, please try broadening your horizons! Just how some non weebs are left in the dark by dismissing anime, anime fans also write embarrassing worship posts without having seen a single non-anime work that inspired the artist or director. something may hit like a brick if its unlike anything you've ever seen, but you'll appreciate it more viewing the countless works it takes inspiration from.

Did you make it to the second Sato panel on Saturday (with Ian Condry)? It was a little more structured, and there was some interesting discussion.
