A theoretically stacked season that just felt kind of underwhelming to me. All around 7, only 1 of which was a potential 8. Not sure if it was the shows or just where I’m at in life right now with a higher standard for the media I consume.

Despite what I said in the previous comment, THIS was the season I started to get REALLY strict with dropping in order to be more productive with the rest of my life. Just ‘good’ isn’t enough to keep a show in the roster any longer; it’s basically only potential 8’s (or higher) that get to stay. Thus, a lot of decent enough shows that are in the honourable mentions that I had to drop but that probably would have stayed in any other season. They are good enough that I wanted to give them a shout out, however.

Another phenomenal season. Very top heavy, and those shows that stayed easily rivalled the quality of Spring 2022. 2022 was best year for anime in history without question. All that said, this is the season I started to get really strict with dropping stuff, so I dropped as many shows as I was left with, if not more.
