Synopsis

Having lost his parents, eight-year-old Yuuichirou Amane is taken in by the Hyakuya Orphanage, where he struggles to bond with his new "family." However, this soon becomes the least of his worries, when a major pandemic suddenly strikes, killing all above the age of 13. Taking advantage of the chaos, vampires—who previously laid dormant underground—rise up and enslave the surviving humans, using them as livestock to harvest blood.

Four years later, Yuuichirou and his family have adjusted to life under vampire control, although Yuuichirou still aspires to kill all vampires and end their reign of terror. This often puts him at odds with fellow orphan Mikaela Hyakuya, who emphasizes using wit and ingenuity to survive. Having garnered favor among high-ranking vampires, Mikaela gains inside knowledge and uses this to plan a daring escape. But during the attempt, the group of orphans is intercepted by vampire officer Ferid Bathory, who proceeds to massacre them. Yuuichirou is the only member of the group to escape to the surface, where he is discovered by the Moon Demon Company, a military unit dedicated to hunting down vampires. Given an invitation to join, Yuuichirou swiftly accepts, finally being presented an opportunity to achieve his ambitions and avenge his family.

Preliminary (18/? eps)
Now to start of, since i give my (personal) scores solely based on my enjoyment, on my list this manga gets a 10, since him enjoying it that much. Since this is a review for everyone, i'll try to be more "formal" in a way.

Lets start with the story, the setting itself is almost cliché, but that doesn't necessarily make it bad, just rather overused, but then again, nowadays i find it almost impossible to have something original, theres just that much content. The plot is simple, vampires manipulate a virus that wipes out everyone who is 13 or older, our MC is a young ...

Mixed Feelings
Preliminary (109/? eps)
As other people have already pointed out the story is quite cliche, very AoT kind of thing. However despite the setting we are initially given, there was potential for twists and turns to turn Owari into its own story worth reading. However that opportunity was massively wasted. A couple good chapters here and there but I'd recommend only if you are willing to stick it out through really bad segments.

Story 3/10
There seems to be a direction and during the first couple chapters the story is pretty character driven. We are given a protagonist who wants revenge against the vampires for killing his family, however as ...

Preliminary (3/? eps)
Take "Attack on Titans" minus its intricate plot, replace the titans with pretty-looking vampires, add a touch of queer-baiting to make fujoshis go wild and there you have it. "Seraph of the End" is riddled with overheated clichés, poor characterization, bland storylines, clunky dialogues, predictable twists and awkward tone shifts. I certainly didn't go into this manga thinking it would be the most imaginative dystopia (I was warned about the lazy, underdeveloped premise), but in spite of my efforts to look past some of its flaws, I was inevitably put off by the old, recycled formula that has already made countless other series in this ...
