Both feature groups of people that do not previously know each other, and as the journey continues they find more and more about each member of the group. The journey takes them to new and unknown planets (Astra) or dimensions (Tsubasa), in which they must fulfil a certain goal. Astra is Sci-fi, while Tsubasa is more of a Fantasy genre, but the exploration and mystery themes are prevalent in both and they are both very enjoyable.

Both focus on a ya cast and their relationships as well as being caught up into some strange shit and figure out how they are even going to get out of there as well too.

Dr. Stone and Astra: Lost in Space are two Shonen Jump series where our main characters are thrown out of their usual environment and end up stuck trying to survive in new circumstances, whether it be a return to the stone age or outer space. There's a lot of scientific thought processes that the characters think about when it comes to the new environments they explore and the ways they try to survive, and it can be surprisingly really emotional at times. You'll learn to love the characters and be intrigued by the new world(s).

The way both series handle their mysteries is similair.

It's extremely difficult to explain why they're so similar without going into spoilers, but basically both series have major plot twists that make their plots very, very similar, to the point where I think Astra: Lost in Space was probably somewhat inspired by Kaguya-hime. I'd even claim that Astra is the more consistent, shounen version of Kaguya-hime. The two also both have similar themes due to the similar plots, such as identity. If you want a sci-fi mystery turned conspiracy, and are a fan of one of these series and want to see another take on these plot twists, checking the other one out might be worthwhile.

Both manga are about a group of people in life-death situation and learn to cooperate to survive. Later they find a same type of truth about themselves.

Both are about a group of students who must survive on a spaceship for a period of time as part of what seems to be some secret ability test. Both groups might also have a saboteur making the test interesting.

So both stories focus on journeying into different types of worlds while being lost from where the characters were originally were from, as well as a story focus on the characters friendships with each other and how they grow from their experiences.

In both series, a group of characters are traveling with no food, and have to resort to making food from the lifeforms around them. In Dungeon Meshi it's monsters from a dungeon, and in Astra Lost in Space it's whatever lifeforms inhabit the planets they travel through. Also, both series have a strong comedic approach. Though they also have some occasional darker moments, it's mostly lighthearted fun! So if you enjoyed one of them, you might also like the other one!
