In both manga, the main character has an identity crises after his brother passes away. Both stories have a heavily depressing atmosphere.

Although the subject matter doesn't really relate to this, i feel like the mood and intensity is something that these two have in common. Helter Skelter and Copernicus no Kokyuu both have main characters who are obviously unstable and verging on mental breakdowns. Although the main character in HS is a bit more neurotic and Id like, Copernicus's main character is just trying to escape life as it seems in the more climactic points in HS. The art styles are both alternative and (i feel) additive to the story. Something i find very refreshing about both mangas.

While everything about these manga is different, right from their setting to their art styles, what is common between them is how dark and disturbing both are. They feature abuse, trauma and betrayal, and if you like reading BLs with dark themes, you'll like this rec.

Both are eroticly curious stories with no visible boundries. The auther is also the same.

The story of organized prostitution, of debauchery of the clients and their wishes, and about the unfortunate fate of those prostituted. Both of these manga are also done in interesting arstyle.

Both have protagonists that experience many tragedies, and are unfortunately sexually abused by rich, older men who know how to brainwash women to marry and love them despite their horrible personalities. The constant tragedies that befall upon the main characters made me continue reading, hoping that something good will happen to them, that someone will save them....

Debauchery, interesting but dark character tales and homosexual relationships that aren't your typical yaoi. Both with captivating artstyle.
