Honestly, this is a super interesting premise for a manga, & it even manages to tug at the heartstrings a little! Boy who can see ghosts... meets ghost boy? Awesome. Follow along with this duo as they form a bond while trying to get to the bottom of why this new ghost friend is caught stuck in a time-loop, seemingly repeating his last day indefinitely. I enjoyed the underlying mystery, & appreciated the time given to unwrap the backstory of both of these MMC's.

Also, since this is a manga— obligatory note that although the art was simple, it was beautiful! However, some pages did get ... a little crowded by text bubbles & could benefit from some additional panel spacing.

BORING!! Straight up boring, but I do need to note TRIGGER WARNING - attempted suicide (a side character) where one of the main characters blames themselves for it which gives them lots of trauma, then suicidal & LOTS of death thoughts by the MC & ML incase you can't read something with that.

Second of all there is NO smut in the first book, there is a scene but it is out of no where and basically skipped over which hurts the story even more because there are sooooooo many questions! I only read the first book not the sequel which myanimelist put them together. ... The prequel is 6 chapters. The prequel was sooo boring I had to FORCE myself to finish it and skip useless dialog which by the way it will have a lot of as well as some nonsense poetry that the MC thinks of which leaves you confused, at first I thought possibly the translation but nope the author just wanted to be a random poet and make the story drag and leave you confused. There was really no real chemistry between the two, the MC spent most of the time thinking instead of talking to the MC, the other half was useless dialog by two background characters who work with the MC which add barely ANYTHING and in some scenes NOTHING to the story!! The author could have easily used those dialogs and pages to add more moments between the two main characters instead of nonsense!

Lastly the time skip...HOW LONG WAS IT!!!! We don't even get an idea of how long, and just the route the author took before the last
3 (maybe 4) pages was um??? WHAT? before the resolution of those 3 last pages it was hmmm. horribly executed and making the story even seem more pointless and not like the MC and find the story stupid the ending to the prequel (again the last 3 pages) made it better but still this story is one I have no desire to ever read again and I definitely don't recommend!

As both volumes feel like an AU to each other and can totally be each read as a stand-alone, heres my review for both separately.

Volume 1: 9/10

The story is quite fast-paced, a bit too quick sometimes, and yet, at the same time, felt like a slow read. In a good way, though? I'm not sure how to explain. 

It's overall a nice concept with loveable characters. Although the romance was almost insta-love, which isn't my favorite trope, I did feel the chemistry between them. 

It has a tender writing style, with some nice quotes that make the death theme more poetic rather than dark. I loved ... that vibe while reading. 

It did lack a bit of depth, which I, on one hand, find unfortunate, cause instead of having a side-story with Iku's mom, that time could've been used to give more moments between Iku and Mimori. On the other hand, it makes it quite realistic, showing that we all have side-stories in our lives, and there's never enough time to spend 100% time on one plot. Even if we wanted.

Maybe it was never intended to be a deep love. This manga's love story certainly isn't anything new, but the "fleeting moment" vibe did touch me in a soft way.

Volume 2: 6/10

Sometimes it's better to keep your head-canons to yourself. Even if you're the author.

Volume 1 had the perfect ending, why stretch it unnecessarily? Just for money? Especially the smut scene was screaming 'fanservice sequel'.

It would be good in itself, or like an AU type of thing, but fells incredibly flat as a sequel. Especially cause this ending was essentially the same as vol1's ending …
Also, the dialogues here were very confusing. Not sure whether that's just the translation – hopefully, honestly, otherwise it adds another point to the one above.

3 stars cause it wasn't really bad, just "meh", and also had consent, which is so rare for Yaoi/BL. Additionally, the soft/tender vibe from volume 1 was here too, and I did like the one chapter from Mimori's perspective.
Chapter 1 of this volume should've been completely scratched though.

agh i thought this had a lot of potential and was really excited for the ending but got disappointed

the story is obviously what excited me i thought it was gonna be a tragedy but then after the twist i thought it would slowly develop and be really emotional but idek why the mangaka chose that ending its honestly such a pity

the art is good for shounen ai which i say quite often but there are a lot of ugllyyyyy boy love and its so unappealing' the only bad point is that the glasses boy or whatever has too big eyes and a ... line for a mouth and that's it and that's not very nice

hmmm the characters were ok like yay boy with glasses and then popular easy going to nice pink haired dude he was ok i guess they both are cute in there own ways
