Preliminary (179/305 chp)
So far this series has been a good ride for me. The chapters flow in perfectly and each chapters are very engaging. The story arcs are very good. The characters are badass. When the arc where they introduced the main villains and the big bad things get explosive. The plot thickens and intensifies They way the characters are drawn when using the abilities is so detailed and I like it. The writer of this manga is also the writer of Soul Eater and there are a lot of Soul Eater refernces going on during each scenes of the chapter of the manga.

[Spoiler Warning]

Important stuff before review:

1) If you don't know, the author of this manga is the same of Soul Eater, so expect a similar character design. (I didn't read ou watch Soul Eater so I can't say if they are similar)

Enen no Shouboutai is a manga that is really capable of engaging the reader just after reading a few chapters. We are following a story where the main character is called a demon... Interesting? Some people would say yes and will be a no for others.

Story-9 Personally I started the manga after reading about its beginning in one of the covers of Fairy Tail and I immediately fell in love with the story, till this day I cannot say I have read something similar and although in some cases I think they handle the story in a quick way, then they end up convincing me ...

Let's get straight to the review and no bullshit.

Great and engaging story with an interesting concept that definitely gives one a "Woah, what the hell" or "That's sick" and a wholesome smile knowing that this all ties in like a bow on a Christmas present for the Soul Eater and Fire Force universe. If you've read Soul Eater it's kinda mandatory to read this if anything. Because, well, Fire Force is the prequel to Soul Eater. Everything about this story is generally great, but one thing that weighs it down just a tiny bit is the characters. God damn, some of the characters are uninteresting ...

Fire Force is an enigma. I've legitimately never seen anything that tried as hard as it did, yet still feels like it's not trying hard enough at the same time.

Fire Force is a pretty standard battle shounen which, to be completely fair, had very interesting ideas. The plot is pretty simple: Shinra lives a world where spontaneous human combustion is a widespread issue, and joins a fire brigade to protect others from these fiery monsters that are created as a result, as well as his own motivations of possibly finding the truth of combustion and what happened on the day his mother and brother died ...

To be fair I have to say I dropped this pretty early on because I have zero tolerance for certain stuff in anime/manga, but I will try to confer my thoughts as best I can. This is my opinion as someone who doesn't waste time watching Shonen nowadays, just seinen and the exception of a rare Shonen (such as Boku no Hero Academia, the only one I consider out of the box along with Kimetsu no Yaiba). This review also has some spoilers. Just the basic gist of the first arc I got to read.

Story — 6

Up until chapeter it is pretty simple and bland. ...

Well, Here my review :

- Story : 9

Well, The story is'nt that bad. In first arc, we get some simple story to start up. Time by time, the story more great with a good improvment by the author, *look at atsushi-sensei. And more problem that comes to MC and MC'S SQUAD.

-Art : 9

I LOVE ATSUSHI OHKUBO ART STYLE. Definitely GREAT.

Fire Force… The second big hit of Atsushi Ookubo. To tell the whole story, when I started to read this manga, I did not know it was the same author as for ‘Soul Eater’. Which is important, because I was literally traumatized by the ‘fist of friendship defeating the biggest evil of the whole universe’ of the Anime… So I have never read the manga, (even if I know it is different in many ways than the Anime), and after I realized it I was a bit shocked, because it was really good! However, I soon experienced my fear was not unfounded!

Story:
The story is fun and intriguing ,in my opinion it is a bit slow at first but quickly picks up the pace, and it just keeps getting better.

Art:
I dont realy have anything to say about art except that it is amazing.

Charecters:
All the charecters in the 8 branch are in my opinion unique (not in a sense that we havent seen anything like them beffore , but they all stand out amognst themselfs).
I just think that most of the vilans are not realy developed and are one dimensional.

I started reading Fire Force when it first starting serialization in 2015. I'd never read Soul Eater, but many of my friends enjoyed SE, so I decided to pick this manga up on account of that.

The first 200 chapters or so are alright. Nothing too outstanding, a bit funny, and overall decently enjoyable, if not sometimes heavy handed with the explanation of the world.

The last arc and chapters are a complete mess and ruined any of the enjoyment of the series for me.

Without going into spoiler territory, while there is a clear story direction, the way it's handled is so pretentious and ridiculous that it ...

What was once a promising and excellent progressing story crashed and burned as quickly as Shinra when he first started honing as pyrotechnic abilities.

Everything was going swimmingly until the last 100 or so chapters, where all the previous plot development and ESPECIALLY world-building was just thrown out the window for a lazy excuse of a final arc.

Lazy fights with lazy powerups, dead characters being retconned left and right, and horribly written dialogue that amounts to "I AM EDGY PAIN PAIN PAIN" vs. "I AM GOD BOOOOOOM." It's beyond me how such poor quality work was allowed to be printed, and even more painful to realize ...

A very promising premise, a world of "fire," human combustion, mysterious events, and a growth worthy of a good Shonen. However, shortly after the halfway point of the story, it loses the essence that envelops you and invites you to keep reading. It becomes boring at times and too lengthy towards the end.

There are moments that attempt to be comedic, but within the series' context of sadness and seriousness, these moments feel out of place and are not amusing; they can even be cringe-inducing.

Certain characters have nonsensical moments that are used for their growth, but because these moments lack coherence, their development loses strength.

Despite the ...

story, 9: this is quite possibly the most batshit insane thing ive ever read and i loved every part of it, i legitimately cant even describe the last 60 or so chapters, it was like a rollercoaster that had me genuinely smiling like shinra the whole time, there were some chapters where i realized i was holding my breath for most of it. im not even going to try to explain how insane, as in abstract, the story is, you just have to read it, but at the same time it delivers a GRAND but concise and easy to follow plot with twists thatll have ...

This was honestly the most beautiful manga I have read so far. Yes it has fanservice, that is inexcusable, but looking past that, everything from the setting to the characters is incredible, especially at the end. I obviously won’t spoil it but the ending is the entire reason of why I’m even writing this review, no other manga has made me do this. If you’re on the fence about reading this or you can’t get past the fanservice or some other small things, please just push through and read it, you won’t regret it.
If all of that isn’t enough to help you decide, here’s ...

I continued where the anime left off and honestly, I love it. I love the fight scenes, the story is well-written, the pacing is the same as the anime, good enough to keep the readers hooked to it. The characters are admirable. One thing is for sure, the final fight was not what I expected it to be. I also love the concepts and how well-thought out they are. The explanation of the Adolla, the justification of the fights (except the last one), they are all perfect notions, in my opinion.

The ending was kind of underwhelming. The build up was there, the fights and events ...

Fire force is an amazing manga with a strong plot and art. fire force was really fun and the final arcs were amazing and some of the best fights were there.
Story. The story is really good and the mystery is engaging. adolla was an amazing concept and the evangelist mystery was amazing. the white clads were good and developed with amazing villains and the concept of infernals were also good. adolla links and adolla bursts were amazing and interesting and the pillars were creative.
Characters. Shinra is an amazing character with a good goal and an amazing fiery personality. villains were good and developed and most ...

I think fire force has one of the most unique worldbuilding. The setting is great, the powers are unique, the characters are overall pretty likeable, and have sufficient depth to them. I usually don't care too much about art, but it is definitely impressive and makes the fights come to life. Ecchi is definitely a prominent feature, and it doens't really add much to the show, but I guess some people like that. The story starts off with a lot of mystery, since we don't know how this world came to be however. I think that for the first half of the manga, the story ...

In a way, Fire Force somewhat reminds me of Gurren Lagann. What starts out as a relatively simple yet interesting plot surrounding the growth of characters as they take on this big bad tyrannical and secretive organization slowly develops into cosmic level stakes where the fate of the entire universe hinges on our charismatic and optimistic protagonist, concluding on some of the most batshit crazy antics to ever appear in anime/manga history. The difference here is that while Gurren Lagann performs this jump with the grace of an Olympic athlete, thus making the whole spectacle emotional and entertaining, Fire Force performs this jump like a ...

Preliminary (26/305 chp)
I have read 3 arcs so far and it is just enjoyment without real story, and bad fan service, but it is very fun, the jokes are ok, and the fights are very well drawn and directed coming from the mangaka of soul eater.

The characters follow the usual shonen archetypes but done in a fairly good way.

The manga is very entertaining with good pacing advancing the story in a fast and fun way.
The protagonist has a type of dream many shonen protagonist have, saying it every chance he gets so it can be a little annoying and it is not very original in that aspect

Spoilers lol

After hearing about how Fire Force's ending directly links it to Soul Eater, I had to read the manga. I don't think it lives up to Soul Eater, but it was still decent.
The art is amazing, it's just as detailed and beautiful as the latter parts of Soul Eater are. But the story is kind of bland, and the villains are kind of forgettable. The character development is HARD carried by Arthur and Joker, and the only villain who really felt real was Haumea. But most characters were either underutilized like Nataku or just plain irrational like Inca. And Tamaki is a poorly written ...
