Both characters are in similar situations. They both lost their older brother, and have been entrusted to their older brother's best friend. The older brother's death is very mysterious and almost suspicious in both manga, and in both cases appear to be more important to the plot than we think at first. Both main characters fall in love with their brother's best friend, who, in both manga, is an adult and much older than the Main, and is often referred to as a pedophile (jokingly by friends, usually.) Both main characters are cute, awkward and shy, but still very mentally and emotionally strong and intelligent, unlike  read more

I started Karneval not long ago, but somehow it reminds me of Loveless. Even though the personalities of the main characters are not alike, both of them are looking for someone who dissapeared leaving almost no clues (both Seimei and Karoku seem to have similar personalities too). I also found the artstyle (specially in the covers) of Karneval really similar to the Loveless art.

I wonder if it's just me, but Chronos and Loveless got the same feeling, the same feeling about brotherly love and a supernatural fight. Even though, Loveless' fights among humans while the Chronos among shadows.

both Loveless and Little Butterfly had the abusive mother, it's in their great slow paces, but still sweet and heart warming, worth to read.

Both are about two people solving a mistery and at the same time learning about themselves as well as one another. NO.6 is a lot darker though.

Loveless & Soukai Kessen both are about cute cat-boys. Besides that, no real similarities in plot or themes.

Both deal with desires, principles, remorse, survival, forbidden, allowed, battles, team work, changes, unleashed emotions, love and loneliness. Loveless gives an accurate representation of the transition from childhood to adulthood. Ritsuka represents the innocent version of us, yet emotionally speaking he shows a very adult spectrum. However, Soubi appearance and actions, as him piercing Ritsuka testify, are meant to represent the scratching line marking borders forbidden to cross and the constant temptation that leads to the adult world. Aside from that, the characters in the manga are sad and lonely, they are just a bunch of people trying to find answers about love and life,  read more

Both are a good shounen ai and the relationship of the main character and his pair are really deep. if you love boy x boy pairing and not into H stuff yaoi, then both are recommended.

Both main character's meet a strange person while leaving school one day, resulting in a series of events soon after that catches them in a battle, that they didn't really want to be apart of.

Both seem pretty similar, each one has a pairing of 2 for fights, each having their own rolls, both are shounen-ai, they are both awesome!

In both stories fights are fought using words and contain evil elder sibblings that the main chacters are trying to get back.

Both of these stories deal with psychological undertones. With After School Nightmare all of the characters have problems they have to deal with so they can "graduate" and they all have to do with some form of psychological problem. In Loveless you've got the main two characters who have both gone through abuse in some form or fashion and have to deal with how that has made them. Both stories also have definite love triangles and BL. All in all anyone who likes Loveless will find After School Nightmare highly addicting.

They're both BL manga that have boys with cat ears.

The atmosphere in both animes isn't very much alike, but they do have some stuff in common. First of all, a young, pretty character having cat-like ears with lost memories suddenly coming into a relationship with a handsome stranger. They both focus on relatioships, their hardships and, most of all, looking for the only one person to love. This is often mentioned in these two series. They are both very touching, funny at times and romantic.
