Loveless gives an accurate representation of the transition from childhood to adulthood. Ritsuka represents the innocent version of us, yet emotionally speaking he shows a very adult spectrum. However, Soubi appearance and actions, as him piercing Ritsuka testify, are meant to represent the scratching line marking borders forbidden to cross and the constant temptation that leads to the adult world.
