Both stories revolve around two people who seem completely different but end up becoming friends by spending time together. Sweet stories that will warm your heart and make you want to read more! Bonus points for having main characters with glasses.

Apart from having superficial similarities (a high school setting, Shounen Ai, one dude's straight and one is gay, and sadly the fact that both manga are ongoing), what makes both so much alike is the emphasis given on dialogues, including thoughts and monologues. The flow of the dialogues is very natural, and exactly the kind of conversation you would have with a friend (or with yourself). So if you enjoy reading manga that focus a lot on the feelings of the MCs, then they're both the perfect fit for you.

A shounen ai manga set in school, with the same nice atmosphere. It's by the same author also, so of course they have similar elements. While Blue Sky Complex feels more relaxed, any drama in Colourful Line is grounded and down to earth. Both have a shy booky guy as protagonist, though their love interests are somewhat different; Blue Sky Complex has a delinquent who likes to read, while Colourful Line has an emotional extrovert who falls in love quickly.

Two boys, friends, falling in love with each other. The stories are probably not too similar, but the feels definitely are. Both are heartfelt, slow, honest stories of real characters.

From the same mangaka about two guys meeting each other and falling for each other slowly.

They don't have anything similar about story nor characters, though they have the same calm flow of narration, and emotions. They both create peaceful atmospheres, and have very nice drawings.

Similar lighthearted fluffiness. Both of these manga show the characters falling in love naturally without lots of drama and angst. I believe if you enjoyed one you will thoroughly enjoy the other.
