Both feature feature working for a freelance agency of people with special powers in a basically corrupt town. Gangsta gives the impression that it takes place in Italy somewhere while Bungou definitely seems to take place in Japan, but the settings are both vaguely semi-corrupt cities where mafia violence breaks out on a day to day basis, giving the characters a chance to be badasses. Their art styles are rather different, with Bungou leaning toward bishounen-style art, and Gangsta being more seinen, but both are high quality. The abilities in Gangsta are also clearly stigmatized and given a more or less thorough explanation, whereas in  read more

Both are mystery themed stories with lots of dark and spooky stuff in it and also quite a bit of action included too.

I labelled the animes as similar as well. I've gotta say, when I originally read the manga it gave me the same feel as Black Cat did. There are some character relationships that are the same, such as Atsushi and Kyouka being similar to Train and Eve. There are story elements that have the same feeling to them, though not in a bad "this one copied the other" way. Both of these series are very good in my opinion (many say Black Cat's manga is much better than the anime) and are particularly worth picking up.

Epic fight scenes! Supernatural ability users that conflict with a dark plot ! Both have crazy plot twists and dark tones.

Both have badass supernatural characters in an agency and bishounen art styles. In Illegal Rare the characters are actual supernatural creatures (such as a vampire) while in Bungou they are humans who have supernatural abilities. They are both pretty funny and quite enjoyable and if you like fantasy manga with well-drawn characters, some humor and drama and some supernatural action, then check the other out!

They both center on/around the mafia. Both stories include organizations that employ "the gifted" to complete specialty missions involving targets the regular police force can't handle. Of course, both main characters have secret powers that are insanely awesome yet make them a target as people want their power. All in all, both are great and I highly recommend them.

both are faction based stories with lots of supernatural action as well as nice art and character designs too.

Both have organizations that can defend themselves and defeat their enemies. They have a chaotic but cool atmosphere. Their charm basically.

Despite on having a serious tragic past... and getting thrown on a slump One person committed to live or to die for... In fact some mysterious guy lends him a hand... They truly had a similar and detective vibes which people unheard off Powers are based on their ideals, justice or in a syndicate way.. Cases like this could make much of a scenario due to exception.. which lead them into misery Plus the goofy humor also added as a gag and until it become much more dark urban state

vibe, Pandora Hearts is what Bungou Stray Dogs wishes to be

Bungou Stray Dogs is much more darker than Reborn but also has the mafia involved. Basically because the mafia is somewhat an antagonist in the series of Bungou. It also gave the similar feeling when you read it. Now for Reborn, it revolves around the mafia and how the protagonist Tsuna's daily life while becoming a mafia boss. Just like Bungou, it also has some supernatural elements mixed in it but has more comedic scenes than Bungou. I suggest you should read any of these series because it is great to read.

Mostly recommending both of these because they both have action, supernatural, fight against bad guys manga. Both have a grey scale of good vs bad, though Bungou's lines are more blurred. Orphan MC. The biggest similarity between them is the similarity between Bungou's Dazai Osamu and AnE's Mephisto and later on, Lewin Light. They are all very cunning, manipulative, slightly twisted characters that could be collaborating with the opponent in order to achieve their own goals. Yet most of the time, they have the facade of a fool which makes their serious moments more striking.

Kekkai Sensen and Bungou Stray Dogs adapts a story with supernatural elements in a urban setting. The main male character gets involved with others with powerful abilities and tackle on various cases. There's a good degree amount of mystery especially surrounding the origins of both series' setting, character backgrounds, and powers. Relationship building also becomes evident when we see how they develop over time. Recommended for fans that are interested in some classic supernatural fiction.

Both series takes place in an urban setting where there is illegal activity, underground conspiracies, and crime. There is concept of murders, mystery, and power struggle between various factions in both series. Their storytelling has both a light and dark tone. Bungou Stray Dogs is also known for some of its supernatural concepts while Dogs: Bullets & Carnage deals with guns and crime. One of the main protagonist from Dogs: Bullets & Carnage and Bungou Stray Dogs are also orphans.

The stories aren't especially similar but the art style and tone are somewhat reminiscent, with minimalistic backgrounds and fewer tones. The main characters are similar int he sense that they were rejected by society for the circumstances out of their control relating to their birth, and find a new place among a police-like agency. Hitogatana is somewhat more original and less humorous compared to Bungou Stray Dogs, but both are great reads (especially Hitogatana!)! If you like one, you'll probably enjoy the other.

Both talks about teenagers that work doing investigations, a little unusual, one about "crimes" made in a school(SKET Dance), other about people who have some kind of power and use this for bad things(Bungou Stray Dogs). And the main characters are likely the same, one is more hard working and other a little more lazy and is him who make the funny on the episodes.

1) Both mangas (manwha, to Solo Leveling) are set in a modern world with super-human abilities. 2) Both main characters were "useless" for a long time. 3) In both stories the government agencies have an importante and constant role 4) Both main character have "the strongest" abilities in all the world

Quite similar superpowers and heroes that possess them.

Ironically, they both have "stray dogs" in the name, and they also have a pretty similar setting and general feel and art style, with deep shadows, light tone-work and minimalist backgrounds. Both take place in a somewhat corrupt city mostly run by gangsters or mafia that gives the impression that it could be anywhere without really naming the city. The characters are mostly badasses fighting against the mafia, although Dogs (and it's continuation Dogs: Carnage And Bullets) features a group of slightly insane characters with superhuman skills who work together by chance, and Bungou resolves around an agency of "Armed Detectives" with special abilities who  read more

Theyre literally the same kind of battle shounen > appeals to woman(yes despite all the horny bait ft has a sizeable female fanbase) >hot dudes > every arc is just introducing a new villain group for the main cast to 1 v 1 > every arc they try to bait deaths for tensions but everyone always survives > alot of spinoffs for the other char tho in bungou case its prequel LNs > akira ishida is voicing the final villain of both series and theyre both immortal op emo edgelords

Hear me out in this, there are similarities between this two that you might like: 1.) Both story involves a SUICIDAL CHARACTER, if you love this type of characters then you have it. Shin Kujuo and Dazai Osamu will give you a enjoyable time with their suicidal antics. 2.) Both main characters somewhat have the negative feelings inside them, doubts to be specific and a past that they don't like at all. However, both main characters have different personalities. 3.) If you're a white-haired lover! hoora! 4.) Despite En Passant has 20 chapters, it had showed action (not the full blast action). However, Bungou Stray Dogs has more action  read more
