For some reason when I started Annara, Oyasumi Punpun came to my mind immediately. They are dark, psychological and awesome masterpieces. I recommend both of them.

They are both Manhwa's with unique styles that present deep themes. They are both also quick reads. I also have both of them rated about a 8/10.

annarasumanara's magician reminds me of george from paradise kiss - both manga are about people who create real magic through their creations - both have beautiful female leads who don't realize they're beatiful until george/the magician show them they're beautiful - both have wonderful art...

Both are deep pyscological ones, deals with a girl searching for some meaning, and people around her guide her, (annarasumanara) is abit darker though 😅 both are good entries to manva world for new commers

Both are mangas about wizards with different takes on them.

A dark and melancholic atmosphere. In the center of attention is a mysterious person. Also, both have a psychology genre with a similar idea.

A good looking guy in a black suit and a hat atop his head, is shrouded in semi-mystery. He doesn't live his life by society's rules, and you only get to know of his true intentions (and by extension, his character) towards the end of the manga/manhwa. Both the works are from different genres that treat their subjects in a semi-dramatic way, but if you enjoy mysterious guys with little backstories, then you're sure to enjoy this recommendation.

Both manhuas involve a high school girl who meets someone with supernatural, magical powers that offers them hope to move along. Sambong is more comedic, however, and Annarasumanara is more emotional.

Same author lol. both stories tackle concepts of anxiety, antisocial behaviours and depression.

Despite the very different settings, both works are highly philosophical and existential in nature. While one deals more with questions of how we understand the world around us, the other deals with questions how we understand and value life, existence.

I started to like Manhwa from these two readings. I think it is a good start for those who want to venture into Korean manga. These are more delicate matters, exploring the deepest of your feelings and dreams.

If you enjoyed Annarasumanara, you might like the beautiful art concepts within Aisopos and the compelling story. Both webtoons do an excellently heartwrenching job at depicting emotions and capturing life, though Aisopos is a bit more action filled. Aisopos quite beautifully captures the essence of Greek painting and combines it with more modern comic styles. Another webtoon in the same heartwrenching vein as Aisopos, I feel that this webtoon evoked strong emotion in a similar way. They were both enjoyable, though I must caution that Annarasumanara is also more romance centered than Aisopos, and speaks with a more abstract language at times in beautiful art  read more

Both manga feature female protagonists who are struggling with the difficulties in their lives. In both manga, the lives of these female protagonists change after meeting certain men, who have an impact in the way they see the world. Overall, both have similar moods and many emotional moments.

Another story by the same author that brights light into another problem in korean society. A masterpiece at an level which may be equal to Annarasumanara.

Both heroines meet a mysterious guy who changes their lives. The artwork styles for both are unique in their own ways and the stories contain some similar elements of teenage angst and romance.

The paper construction style of the witch scenes in Madoka are similar to many scenes in Annarasumanara. And in both, these scenes represent negative emotions.
reportRecommended by rhaphazard
Both have something/someone that isn't really what/who it seems to be (magic in Annarasumanara and characters in DVD). Both have to do with imagination. Both have some kind of illusions.

They both are webtoons that deal with the decline of morals in the modern world and the bad side of people, while the main character is following his/her dream.

Though both of these mangas are quite different in terms of tone, annarasumanara is darker and more psychological, girls of the wild's being more comedic. But there are alot of similarities between the two. -both have a poor character who is the breadwinner of his/her family. Both of the have been abandoned by their mothers. -both have a rich character that falls for the poor protagonist. -The protagonist goes to school as well as work part-time. He also starts to learn something new as the series progresses.(magic tricks in the former and boxing in the latter) -He/She go through massive devalopment. Annarasumanara is better in my opinion but the latter  read more

A romance induced story as the male lead fights for affection from the female protagonist that he's taking interest in. Both manga's indulge in the supernatural aspect which brings a very different twist to the story branching away from the normal romance route. Both stories are very fascinating when reading to see just what the male character will do next to get the attention of the girl he is infatuated with.

Both are coming-of-age tales of teens who deal with their current predicaments to better themselves. While the two are vastly different in accordance to plot, both the protagonists learn a valuable lessons in life from the influences of the people around them.

Both are bittersweet stories with coming of age elements. The main protagonists in both manga are young girls who are struggling with the difficulties in their lives, and whose worlds change forever after they meet a man. Overall, both are short and emotional works, which evoke feelings from the reader, and create similar moods.
