Both are supernatural themed shounen manga with a bit of horror stuff (death, dark arts...) added, setting of Necromancer gives quite similar feel like Soul Eater, although it's more "episodic" in plot. If you like S.E. you will probably like Nec.

Both series delve into the supernatural aspects with a dark twist. In both works, an establishment of some sorts are present with an owner and customers. Both "owners" are mysterious and at furst glance, dark people. The series also share similar themes and aesthetics themselves. Both series can be called dark.

The premise of these manga are actually different. While one is set in a fantasy world where necromancy is possible, the other is set during the Victorian era where a young noble boy solves unusual mysteries. The one commonality among both manga is how the reader is led to believe one thing during the beginning of the chapter, only to realize how unique the characters' motivations are, which lead to quite a few fascinating/surprising endings. So if you enjoy episodic mystery/thriller stories, you're definitely gonna enjoy both the manga.

Both of these are psychological, supernatural, and episodic horror manga featuring a main character that excel in their professional trade taking on requests of clients that come to them seeking help. Fran excels in unique and often bizarre medical surgeries while Asutsuo Johann-Faust excels in necromancy.

A young boy has the fame of being a demon/necromancer. People come to him and ask him to use his supernatural power to help them and offer something in exchange. In both mangas, there is also a girl who follows the boy.

Both have an organization similar to Holy Inquisition which destroyed characters happiness once and then appears again.

They are both episodic manga that have a secret underlying plot to keep everything moving. Both are similar in the way that the main characters are sought for their abilities to solve the problems of various people. Both GREAT manga, and GREAT reads.

Similar in style to Roma, (wishes being not what the user expected) twist at the end of each chapter
