For random visitors of my profile:
I'm watching anime for around 15 years or something, more than half of entries I've completed before joining MAL, it took me a lot of time to trackback all the things I've watched/red and i still occasionally find some anime that I started watching or completed but forgot about it.... I like watching all kinds of anime - made for various viewer groups and of various genres. I like filling my free time with watching/reading and playing video games (that means I watch less of live-action, there I have a trade-off).
I watch and read online, and I treat it like a trial (if I really like something I will/consider/already did buy it).
My rating criteria changes with the passage of the time accompanied by number of completed titles I wholeheartedly hoard, currently is such:
10 - Best things my eyes gazed, I have particular attachment to the anime/manga in question
9 - Awsome stuff, great stuff... immensly enjoyable
8 - Very good, very enterntaining and enjoyable
7 - Good, enterntaining, still in the area of "suki-suki" and re-watch potential
6 - Fine, it was enterntaining but it lacked stuff
5 - Average, did fill my time but wasn't very enterntaining due to previously seen tons of stuff like it, unoriginality or something else...
4 - Below average for a shade, still may be watchable but in its core is bad and unoriginal
3 - Bad stuff, incredibly boring stuff
2 - Very, very bad, offense to taste, actually makes me angry how bad it is
1 - Awfully bad, Horrible, one of the worst things my eyes have ever gazed
[] - unreitable stuff (too short to form an opinion, stuff too artsy to understand for a laic in surrealism, music, experimental animation... )
NO RANDOM FRIEND REQUESTS!!! It's meaningless to have friends I don't know if I'm going to like conversing with them (which is why you are welcome to start chitty-chat with me beforehand).
NO RANDOM CLUB REQUESTS!!! I can find clubs I fancy by myself!
