Both main characters are basically the same manly hero who upholds justice and rescues the suffering with their hands, kindness and with their manliness. Kenshiro is a martial arts messiah who kills villains with an assassination fist known as Fist Of The North Star while Dr. Kazuya saves people with a scalpel.

Two doctors who are surrounded constantly by severely injured patients. They have great skill and can save them from an imminent death. *Both doctors are epitomes of doctors doing everything they can to save patients' lives.

Doctors giving the best possible treatment to every patient they encounter, even if circumstances are suboptimal. They show excellent skills and their actions speak volumes, especially when they refuse a certain suggestion from a patient for their own good.

Older manga with the main characters being doctors who perform their duties as doctors ethically correct, trying to solve the misdeeds by the doctors who don't really care for sick people some way. Sometimes it really can get dark (not gore, but psychological).

If you've ever wondered what would happen if Kenshiro became a doctor, well, here you go. While Kenshiro ni Yoroshiku is a direct reference, Super Doctor K is more of an inspiration.
