Uragiri reminded me of X at first sight, as it is clearly a bland copy of Clamp's masterpiece, unquestionably a deeper and far superior manga. Certain characters share many similarities: Kamui and Yuki are troubled, orphaned 15 years old boys with a power within them; Kusanagi and Tsukumo are able to communicate with animals; Kotori and Touko are sweet, blonde little sisters. Similar mood and common themes, such as dreams, destiny, friendship. Lots of beautiful boys, plenty of angst and drama, BL undertones.

Both have a supernatural plot and drama. Both have shoujo and the art is very similar and beautiful.

in my eyes: -both of them dealing with humans and demons -both of the main character's parent death before the story begins -both of the story somehow happened to the ancestors and the descendants had to deal with it (although in UraBoku, it isn't the ancestor, it's his(her) past live) -and it seems the main character don't remember about the past live yet.

The plots both have three friends (two guys and one girl) that were best friends, one of the guys was considered "son of darkness" and mistreated by the village. Beautiful art in both.

Both have: - BISHIES, Supernatural, fantasy, amazing art. - And a group of people with powers that lives together in a mansion (and all fight together with a partner), plus a hugely powerful main guy that desperately wants to protect the other protagonist because of a "romantic" event on their past.

Many similarities including a boy who doesn't want to be alone and has a group of friends, all with special skills. in this case, rakan and yuki both have a special power that is very important, have similar personalities and needs to be protected. in another case, one friend from the group are really protective of the main character. For the plot, both groups from SD and Uragiri are trying to save the world in all, you get the same feeling for both

If you like supernatural yaoi with a gotic theme, about a main character and his protector, Uragiri and Dia Game are both the mangas you're looking for :p

Both deal with desires, principles, remorse, survival, forbidden, allowed, battles, team work, changes, unleashed emotions, love and loneliness. Loveless gives an accurate representation of the transition from childhood to adulthood. Ritsuka represents the innocent version of us, yet emotionally speaking he shows a very adult spectrum. However, Soubi appearance and actions, as him piercing Ritsuka testify, are meant to represent the scratching line marking borders forbidden to cross and the constant temptation that leads to the adult world. Aside from that, the characters in the manga are sad and lonely, they are just a bunch of people trying to find answers about love and life,  read more

they are very similar first:the main chareters of the mangas don't know that they have powers until a man from the past show up second:the main charecters are reincarnations of love ones from the man that came from the past and their are both Shounen Ai both really enjoyable

Both 'Betrayal Knows My Name' and 'Disasters Like Me Too Much' have similar feels. From the super natural, to the romance it has good pacing. Misfortune and thrills to keep you on your toes.

Same plot basis! Ordinary guy living an ordinary life gets involved in some accidents, life changes, gains a super power that he doesn't know how to use, some other guy always protect them. Both are good in my idea. If you like one, you'll like the other. :)

Similar pairing system with deep friendships, and a similar goal. Maybe Uraboku is a little bit softer / shojo-ish :)

Young, pretty guys are somehow linked to a "special" woman and gain a protector that was attached to this other person. Cue emotional baggage about the past and current relationships. Mild BL/fantasy elements.

Both have a great art. Both are about a group of bishies and one girl who live together in a clan/organization and fight in pairs against demons/monsters. The main boy is very naive and before being a boy he previously had another form (girl/animal). Also his best friend is on the enemy side.

Although the plot doesn't have anything in common, the resemblance of the atmosphere, the character grouping and the caracters' personalities is too good to pass :) Enjoy them both!

hmmm... I don't really know if I have a good reason for matching those two.. It just that they give me a similar feeling. Both are about past lives, the main characters are good to a fault (although they have very different personalities), and they are sourounded by gorgeous guys. Both these manga have a little bit of a shounen-ai-ish tone to them, although 07-gost is a little darker than UraBouku.Well, from my point of view, if you liked one, you will also like the other. :)

I don't know if it's quite the perfect match between these two mangas, but somehow they have the same air about them. A guy, apparently weak, but actually very strong, surounded by cool guys/girls. Two sweet dramas, full of nice people and beautiful frienships, with interesting pasts or rather past lives. Maybe UraBoku is a little bit more on the shounen-ai side, at least from what i've read so far. I certainly enjoyed both of them.

In both stories the main character finds out they have been reincarnated from a past life to continue a war that is going on between good & evil/ god's forces & demons. Both main characters have a protector that follows them throughout their stages of reincarnation who is somewhat like a soul-mate. The art in Angel Sanctuary is beautifully done and Uragiri wa Boku no Namae wo Shitteiru is also drawn well (the art resembles Vampire Knight; some of the characters even look similar).
