The main female character on this histories are outcasts

About a girl who went through adversity in her past and comes to change in their new situation. From here, these noble heroines do what they can to change themselves, inspire others, and pull these people into their "inner circle". Both Kyoko and Maria are very admirable to look up to and can be "pure" in their sense of feelings [also can be very straightforward & determined and happen to appeal to frills or fantasy]. They are without parents since early childhood, and are seen facing relentless bullying/torment, but eventually soften these people into friends (including the male leads, both whom first disdained [but not  read more

They both deal with girls being bullied in school over some 'silly' reasons and how they must over come them with strength of the mind.

These mangas have a very similar feel to them. The main characters scare off their classmates unintentionally. However, they both work very hard to become more approachable. Along the way, they go through many trials in their effort to make friends and be properly understood.

The heroines of both stories give off a similar feeling - cool, distanced, yet also warm. Both are discovering true feelings and learn how to be sincer with themselfes. I enjoyed Saruyama a lot, Akuma isn't yet finished, but I hope it'll evolve in a nice love-story, too ;)

Both heroines are loners who are very perceptive and who are not afraid to speak their minds; despite their bluntness, both eventually get appreciated and befriended. Warau Kanokosama is more like a series of short s stories, however, with the same main character.
reportRecommended by Breezie-D
The male characters in both series seem to be around the same models and both main girls deal with a bit of teasing from their classmates (although it seems like it's less so in Hijiki's case).
reportRecommended by AoiMemori
They may not have exactly the same premise but they communicate a similar message involving the content of their stories. The main characters from both series are ostracized by their peers. Yet, they try to earn their respect and throughout the series are met with mixed results. They form an unique bond with another prominent character in the series that develops over time as their lives intertwine and exploring new possibilities. The setting of both series are familiar in a school life environment where drama ensures.

Both stories are about a bullied school girl, two guys (one guy always smiling & open-hearted, one guy shy & restrained) who stand by her side and support her. Even some mean persons change through experiencing the protagonist. Both mangas deal with school life and romance. They both include a dramatic subcontext. Though, Akuma to Love Song is more dramatic.

About tough girls who seem to be more them they appear outside

The plot lines to the story aren't similar, but they're both done by the same author. Akuma to love song is longer than ouji ka prince, but all in all, I believe both stories were done nicely, the art was also really good ^_^

Taking place in a school life setting, both series' main female protagonist shares a skill with their talent in music. The main premise of both series main be different but they follow some similar trends such as drama and character relationships. There is also subtle romance that develops between the main characters although portrayed in different fashion. One of the more dynamic aspects of both series is their dialogues with hidden messages and meanings told from its story.
reportRecommended by Stark700
The personalities of the male characters in both titles line up pretty well. You've got the intimidating "black prince" who is secretly a little sweet and the charming "white prince" who is a bit twisted. The female main characters both catch the interest of the males due to their bold demeanour. However, Akabane is more well-liked by her classmates at first and Maria really doesn't care what others think of her.

Nakanmon and Akuma to Love Song have similiar story but not too much '-'. Nakamon really a good shouju manga >< U must read.... this is manga really refreshing even though have little complicated story ^^
reportRecommended by HaifaHatori
Both focus on abusive af relationships, gossip and also lot of drama in high school as well too.
reportRecommended by Disapeared_Ghost
Both share an edgy rebellious cynical outsider being in a friendship with someone thats the polar opposite of them as well as the mc learning more as time goes on how to be friends with others.
reportRecommended by Disapeared_Ghost
Both include the main character undergoing change (in good ways) once meeting someone precious, as well as both having the tragedy, shoujo and romance genres.

Dengeki Daisy and Akuma to Love Song involves a main female character who isn't shy to express her thoughts. But deep down, she is an honest girl whose personality becomes evident through her relationship with the main male characters. Both series takes place in a school life setting with events that connects between the past and present. There is romance as well that deals with the main girl and how she shows their true selves more and more. Recommended for fans of shoujo.
reportRecommended by Stark700
The heroines are misunderstood and hated by their peers because of their cold and indifferent personalities. But deep down, they actually have a strong desire to help others in order to gain their acceptance/friendship.
reportRecommended by MarsFromStars
Both main characters are blunt Kuunderes. Shizuku is more of a study bug and doesn't care much about appearances while Maria likes fashion. Both stories are a romantic comedy set in high school with conflicts, love triangles, family issues etc. Tonari to Kaibutsu-kun is more upbeat and lighthearted and Akuma to Love Song includes more drama.
reportRecommended by Anjuka
These two are so similar. The main character can amazingly 'see through' people, since they're good at figuring people out. The main guy is antisocial. One main character from both mangas are popular. The main characters get bullied. The romances are adorable and the characters are unique. If you like one, you'll like the other.

both manga are about a girl who appears cold on the outside but in reality wants to be more friendly with people.

At first glance, these two series may seem like polar opposites due to Akuma to Love Song taking place in a modern high school in Japan and Pellua Iyagi in a fictionalized version of medieval France. However, the female leads, Maria (Akuma to Love Song) and Orthez (Pellua Iyagi), have similar personalities: intelligent, perceptive, emotionally strong, and often stoic. They are unafraid to speak their minds. They carry a kind of confidence that sets them apart from the rest, and, indeed, they capture the attention of all, for better or worse. Maria must deal with classmates who alienate her while also dealing with past events  read more

Both mangas involve eye-cathcing cool beauties with underdeveloped emotional side. Both of the plots are dedicated to a story of these girls emotional growth and maturing with the help of their friends, love partners and sticky situations.

Maria could be branded as anti-social. But despite her sharp tongue, she wants to change and tries to lovely transform although she tends to become even more scarier when she tries to. But nevertheless, Maria wants to change for the better. Sunako of Yamato Nadeshiko is also anti-social and she loves scary things. She's the exact opposite of Maria who wants to be loved. Sunako is detached to the world and she doesn't want to change. She hates beautiful things and her friends are dummies from anatomy class. She's happy with her life, the only problem is, the four guys she's living with are the ones  read more

Naka is beautiful, the only problem is, she's scary. Although she doesn't have attitude problems as much as Maria does, nor is she anti-social. Naka is an aspiring model but maybe she's got no potential since her face is just so scary.
reportRecommended by Samara_Fae
Both have strong and occasionally foul-mouthed heroines. Both plots are a mix of the comical, dramatic, and sad. Just, beware of the smut in Sakuran! :D

Maria and Sakura have different personality, but both mangas have a love triangle and people bothering the two girls
reportRecommended by Fushimi
Both have girls who can be bitter at times. They also both have girls who are clueless that guys are in love with them.
reportRecommended by Sodonii-Chan
its kind of similar because there is this girl in "good luck" named shi hyeon. Shi hyeon is really ignored by everybody for they say she is bad but she's actually not. there's really kind of connection between devil and her love song and good luck. just check it out!

Both are about a girl who is misunderstood by her classmates. Though Kimi ni Todoke is more light-hearted, fans of one are sure to enjoy the other as well.
reportRecommended by songstar13
Both the main characters don't show their feelings, they're misunderstood by people (ex: Kiri is actually really good at cutting hair, while Maria has no bad intenions and just wants friends.) They are also both looked down on by people. They are also both love triangles. In both stories, one of the guys dislike the girl, but soon comes to like her, while the other guy has always been friendly to her. Both guys are also best friends in both mangas. Both the girls have also done something wrong to their mom when they were kids.

They are both shoujo and romances, and it would seem that the similarities will end there. Yet Mars and Akuma to Love Song had one quality I really liked: they probed into subjects that people normally don't talk about. Mars is, of course, hands down, the most thought-provoking of the two, and while I wouldn't call Akuma to Love Song to be "deep" there is a sense---even in the beginning--that the characters have more depth and hidden parts of themselves that aren't seen in the surface. Maria is blunt and straightforward in everything she does and says; she has no qualms about  read more

Maria like Mei could be branded as anti-social. The two of them have similar problems at school, with friends etc. And they have someone who cheers them.

Both girls have the ability to see through the persons inner/true feelings. Romance ;)

They are both shoujo mangas about girls with harsh tounges, but pure hearts, who just can't get along with others. Then they met somebody and their life start to change. (But Kimi wa Girlfriend is a typical shoujo and Akuma to Love Song is more untypical and deep one. And in Akuma lo Love Song the protagonist is the honest one, but in Kimi wa Girlfrient the heroine just can't be honest with her own feelings.)

I've been a long time fan of Akuma to Love Song. In Akuma, the main character is outwardly very cold and is bluntly honest, though, inwardly, she is truly trying to help people. She struggles to show affection and to become closer to others. The people close to her (the two main male characters) begin to understand her and the become good friends as the rest of the class begins to accept her. I recently came across Sarashi Asobi, and, though there are only 4 chapters released, I am enjoying it so far not only because of the plot, but also because the art is  read more
