Thanks for bringing Akuma to Love Song to my attention. I'm a crazed Shoujo fan, and I'm glad to see that there's a Skip Beat manga w/o the Comedy. :)

Well....I'm from (I'll sent a message) and 3 weeks ago I think I turned 16......So how about you?
IAmTitania Oct 5, 2013 12:40 AM
Hello!! No need to thank me I'm the one who needs to thank you for accepting...!! :)

oh, Welcome to the NHK has a happy ending...just parts of it can be seen as sad (alot of it is funny). I'd also say it's a meaningful happy ending ^^ Lemme know if you ever change your mind and watch it...it's quite good.

Yeah, I guess that's true. I suppose I'm somewhere in the middle :) Still, I do think it's slightly overrated, mainly because I've seen shows much more memorable, exciting and touching that Clannad...

Oh, I still can't believe MAL's finally back!! These past few days have been so stressful...everytime I'd turn on my laptop I'd try to browse MAL, and always achieved nothing... thank God they solved everything!

I'll do that too :)

I wouldn't say I hate tragedy...in fact I can enjoy almost any genre as long as I find some redeeming qualities in it. An anime example I guess would be Welcome to the NHK. I found it to be both sad (it hit pretty close to home a few times) and pretty funny (one of the only anime I found funny) and uplifting...some of the best happy endings are born from tragedy. :)

I reread my previous comment and I don't think I worded it very well haha Ah well. I totally agree with you though, I actually have this semi-curse where most of my favorite characters (in anything really) die.
Sarinda Sep 3, 2013 4:39 AM
Well, what I mean about OHSHC is that the romance starts actually developing after the anime ends, you know, so it gets way more interesting in my opinion. Anyway, you can always read it sometime in the future when you feel like it :)

Let's see... I suppose I like almost everything that has good characters. Much like yourself, I also pay a lot of attention to the characters, more than anything. The plot might be okay, but if the characters never develop, I won't be able to like it. I like psychological anime, where you have to think to figure out what's happening. And action-packed anime, with intense fights, mystery, even horror and bloodshed is fine... Some other times I feel like watching a romantic one, hehe, like Maid-sama (my favorite shoujo anime!). Those that have a little bit of everything and even great characters, like Fate Zero, FMA, Code Geass... are perfect because of that :)

hum, are you sure about Clannad?? As far as I know, most people do like After Story, but aren't always satisfied with Clannad. You see, After Story is sadder, more dramatic, so people might say they cried, that it had too many touching moments...but in a good way, I think. It's much more intense. I don't really like the characters, they're too moe for me, so that's why I couldn't like the first one, because even the plot seemed rather slow and it wasn't my thing... It's about a guy who helps other 5 girls to sort out their problems. It's realistic, sometimes, though it has a touch of fantasy too. I like romances but not harems that much, I guess...

Ah I don't know how to explain it. Just that After Story has a better plot, is more touching and therefore, more likable for me, even if I didn't like the characters that much in the first season.

Hellooo and welcome to MAL!! I see that you like OHSHC, like me! So I'd like to suggest that you read the manga too, since the story keeps going where anime stopped. The plot is much more complete, and in my opinion, the anime even stops at the best moment... Seriously, you'd love it!

You're very welcome. If you do want a recommendation, I'd be happy to give either a short or a longer, more detailed one. I typically personally enjoy specific aspects of an anime/movie, but understand and recognize the merits others~essentially, I don't consider anything a failure unless it's boring. Anyway, happy watching!
