A fox spirit serving/protecting a girl, just that in this case the "Tomoe" in InuxBoku is really obedient and exaggeratedly nice to the main girl and "Nanami" (Ririchiyo in InuxBoku) is really tsundere and rude. Similar just in concept, not in story. Both are romance.

Both have a younger female being protected by an older male, as well as elements of the supernatural. In Inu X Boku it's youkai, in Blood Alone its yampires. Both a sweet and have great characters and an interesting story.

Both have: - BISHIES, Supernatural, fantasy, amazing art. - And a group of people with powers that lives together in a mansion (and all fight together with a partner), plus a hugely powerful main guy that desperately wants to protect the other protagonist because of a "romantic" event on their past.

When I was reading watashi ookami kun I was immediately reminded of Inu Boku ss. The setting may not be the same but both mangas give the same kind of feeling and both male leads are part animal; One is a wolf and the other is a fox.The only big difference between these mangas is that Inu boku ss gets a bit darker.

Both have supernatural creatures living in modern human society, and the concept of making friends. The main characters are both a little awkward (but in very different ways). There is comedy and many light-hearted moments, but a somewhat dark plot as well.

I find the female protagonists of these two stories to be quite similar. They are both introspective girls who desire affection and to express themselves better, and they look similar as well. Both stories also have a similar air of thoughtfulness and measured pacing throughout. Despite both stories being focused on romance - they each deal with more broad and deep themes: Family in the case of Taiyou no Ie and Mortality in the case of Inu x Boku SS. Not your typical shoujo.

Both manga feature pairs of supernatural beings or gifted beings whose sole purpose is to defeat approaching enemies. They both have that "master and servant" kind of relationships. While Kigurumi Guardians has humans with pure hearts paired with supernatural beings, Inu x Boku SS has both master and servant that have powers. The main pairs are also between an older male and a younger female.

I can't believe no one has recommended this one. If you like Noragami, I'm pretty sure you'll like Inu x Boku SS or vice versa. Both manga deal with supernatural elements like demons and spirits. Also, there's some romance between the two main characters. However, there's a bit more romance in Inu x Boku than Noragami. They both also have great art. Sadly, the artist and creator of Inu x Boku passed away without ever finishing the manga.

Both involve butlers and masters. Although the male in this one isn’t a sadist, he is still her butler.

Petite, long-haired, princess-like girl and her servant. Both are by the same author.

There's a very important concept in both manga (can't say what it is, cuz spoiler; so read it and find out), besides that, there are characters that you'll end up loving. And there is romance and lots and lots of feels (like a lot, enough feels to break your heart ten times) in both. Also, they both have amazing art, the plot is fantastic and characters are relatively similar-ish. And the bonds that the characters all have with each other is quite similar, too. Also, they both have animes, too. So, after reading it and riding the feel train, you can watch it and ride  read more

Horimiya and Inu x Boku SS are both shounen manga that center on romance and are told from a haeroine's point of view - typically shoujo themes. Neither story is told with the usual shoujo episode, character, and plot formulas. Both stories focus on romance happening in the midst of the main character's lives rather than dominating their life. Neither story reads as a romantic daydream. Neither hero is a flawless feminine ideal, either. Inu x Boku SS is supernatural while Horimiya is School Life, but both are a good read if you want to experience a departure from your typical shounen or your typical shoujo.

Even if both series are very different plot-wise, the female protagonists are very similar because: 1. Both girls are actually nice and kind-hearted but has trouble communicating with others properly. 2. Although the circumstances are different, they end up telling the opposite of what they really wanted to say - thus, resulting to people seeing them as arrogant and conceited. 3. Throughout the story, both of them also work hard to be more honest with their feelings and reach out to other people.

-Both have shapeshifters. -Both are romance. -Both have some characters with not so good pasts.

The relationship between a butler/servant and a master. Inu x Boku SS and Kuroshitsuji (Black Butler) has fantasy themes and deals with the world of supernatural. In both series, there exists a contract/relationship between two unlikely characters. They aren't very similar but their relationship develops over time. Kuroshitsuji takes the concept of a fantasy adventure while Inu x Boku SS adapts more of a slice of life theme. Both series uses clever dialogue and lighthearted comedy. However, Kuroshitsuji does have a dark side to its story arcs that have more of a mature feeling. Recommended for fans of fantasy drama.

If you are a fan of: - Yokai (spirits) - Nekomimi (cat ears) or other types of mimi. - Supernatural romance. Then you might like the other. But the very main reason is, if you were a fan of Fujiwara Cocoa, then you'll notice that Nakayama Miyuki's art is IDENTICAL. There are simply no differences in artstyle (go see for yourself). I would call that a copyright infringement but since Cocoa Fujiwara is deceased, I prefer to think that Nakayama Miyuki was her utmost fan. So, if you miss Cocoa's artwork, try Nakayama's manga.

- The setting is a weird hotel/mansion/apartment. - Female lead has long hair, is strong-willed, and unique from other female characters. - Both series feature great art that can be considered eye candy. - Both series focus on the residents of the mansion who are eccentric people who can't fit in the society. - Has romance, slice-of-life, and drama. - Male lead has an intriguing past. - [almost] All characters are bishounen and bishoujo. - Overall same atmosphere, reading The Sleepy Residents of Birdcage Manor reminded me of Inu x Boku SS.

Both have strange love starts, but it both grows deeper into something really heart rendering.

Both of the mangas feature main characters with master x servant relationship, both main guy characters have silver hair. Shounen romance theme.

A servant-master romance. The girl who's the master is emotionally depressed while her servant is obedient, submissive and loyal to an unhealthy extent.

It blows my mind that these two are not in either of the recommendation lists. They're both very similar in the fact that the male lead is assigned as a bodyguard for the female lead and was infatuated with the female lead since they first met. While inu x boku ss is a little bit more action based the romance is very similar. Both male leads are quite attached to the female leads and the female leads thought the male leads are a little crazy in the beginning. They're very similar stories and if you like one then you'll love the other.
