Review - The Dr. Stone manga returns for a short story based around the events that occur after the ending of the original Dr. Stone. The story this time revolves around the various "scientific" uses of the petrification beam. If you enjoyed Dr. Stone you will likely enjoy this short story too. If you haven't read Dr. Stone yet obviously go ahead and read it first. The ending of this short story is vague but I think satisfying for the series. It makes me hopeful ... that Senku will eventually achieve what he wishes most.

Dr. Stone returns for a short story about science and grief, continuing themes and threads from the original manga. I liked this three chapter story, but at the same time I felt a little cheated by it and question what its purpose was besides some spoilers from the first chapter. I wouldn't call it a bad addition to the canon, but one that just leaves me with questions about writing purpose. That said, it was nice to see everyone again and get another glimpse into what the Stone World looks like post-canon.

If you enjoyed the main manga then I think you'll likely enjoy this ... short too. It's an easy read and has some rewards in it in terms of characterization and emotionality.
