If it follows the same route it's a [8/10] for me.
This is a wholesome manga about a Drunk , thief looking man called Harris and his new bought slave, Tiana.
I've only read 16 chapters at the moment and some questions got into my mind and I read some of the main source (Light Novel).
These two versions are way too different. Manga is a lot more wholesome , it gives the reader good vibes BUT it feels lacking in some ways. I know this series is a more character builder type, not a world builder. But compare to Light Novel its less detailed in that matter.
BUT ... (again) light novel is a lot different in other ways. Like some of character backgrounds and some dialogs are completely changed.
The way people treat the Main character is more understandable. Or how different later characters start liking him is pictured better cause you can see the change in Harris too (it's way too little but at least its there) .
One of the important things that has been changed is how Harris treats and acts around Tiana and the way of his thinking toward Tiana.
We can see more of his ulterior motives which are not in the Manga which makes the light novel less wholesome (I didn't like it).
Some other things that have been change is what happens between them.
A lot more happens during each day compare to the manga. and Harris is not as nice as it is shown in the manga.
I really enjoyed this series until now and I'm waiting for the next chapters to come.
a little spoiler from the beginning (the reason i read the LN was the question I read in a site. What happened between Tiana and Harris the night he bought her. we know why he bought her. did he do any thing stupid? Nah he faints right after he bought her BUT he had it in his f*ing mind.).
If this gets an adaptation one day I really hope they follow the manga. Surely even the author found out that this is not the right way to follow so they changed the whole tone in the manga.

I caught up to the latest translated chapter in 30 minutes. This series isn't bad, I would say it is fairly better than most in the Adventuring world. Knowing this isn't a bland Isekai copy and paste already gives it a thumbs up from me.

In short, is it just a regular dedicated thief who seeks to get by? He somehow buys a slave girl and embarks on teaching/training/guiding her to become good in the world. Even though there were only a handful of chapters released, the potential is there and it's limitless how good things can get.

If I had to mention one key aspect, it's ... the MC growing and developing as a person with the help of the girl's goodwill. That alone is enough to compel me to bookmark this series and keep up.

This is a manga revolving around grooming. Now that the baseline has been set, hear me out: This is actually really f*cking good. There seems to be a trend in most grooming mangas that the characters are written extraordinarily well and full of personality/emotion; this manga is no exception to that fact, which is why it’s so enjoyable.

The plot isn’t the most creative with its fair share of cliches, however, there are small touches and tweaks this employs from the usual fantasy mangas which make it so much better. To be specific, you know the cliche of a hot guild receptionist? How about the ... one about the party members secretly liking the mc? Or the absolutely perfect trope of the mc being overpowered? Yeah, none of those are in this manga, which adds such a refreshing change of pace.

Character motives are the determining factor if the character is likable. It’s made clear that the mc is somewhat a piece of sh*t in the first chapter, however, like all similar mangas go, his morals or personality eventually changes with the help of the fmc, making him rather likable. Despite the basic blueprint already laid out, the characters still have a rather wholesome, realistic personality, considering the societal norms. There’s not much to say about the side characters, but they are rather minuscule to the actual story, but they do provide plot devices and other essentials from being a side character.

Do I condone any of the actions of the mc in real life? Absolutely not. Do I love reading it in a manga, especially if it’s this well-written? Hell yeah.
