I didn’t know this manga got a MAL page, but I guess it did — this review is off the top of my head, and I didn’t reread the manga to make this, so take it how you will. I’m also only bothered enough to do this because I feel like this manga is over-hated and misrepresented due to some rather questionable decisions via the author in the plot.
Yes, this manga starts off as a light, cute romcom depicting teenage romance/crushes, but it’s not overbearingly “cute”; not at the cuteness stage where darker topics become completely nonsensical.
The plot is also nothing short of amazing, as
...
it’s not tiresome and pretty refreshing with some of its developments and plot points. I mean, there have been some really unique plot points in humor or development which I’ve never seen before — and for my experience, that’s one hell of a compliment.
As for the characters themselves — they are amazing. The fmc is written amazingly and so is the mc; they provide the perfect balance between cute interactions and humor, and it’s simply amazing — they don’t act robotic or not like high schoolers, which a lot of school romance mangas struggle with.
Though, there’s a lack of side characters or introduction of side characters, which makes this manga feel less like a serialized manga and more like a webcomic. Though, I’m not complaining too much since the characters are more than interesting enough to carry the story that you don’t even notice it.
Now here’s where the plot starts to thicken or get interesting — it gets … psychological? I don’t think that’s the right word to describe it, but there’s a turning point and foreshadowing around the midway point where you can tell something’s going amiss.
As for the resolution of it itself, I find it being written pretty well; it’s one hell of a surprise, and I sort of like that — this manga presented itself as unpredictable with its plot, and it did just that.
This may be a bit off putting to some, as the manga slowly stepped away from the genre of “fluff” and took a more direct route to … a deep, plot twist manga, but the writing and explanation of everything has been as good as it gets for what the author is trying to execute. I still love it; you might not.
PS: is one bad arc or moment in a manga enough to completely discredit what the author has built? I don’t think so. I also don’t even think the dark route is even a bad arc, as it’s well-written and explained. It’s more so of a surprise that you didn’t want. I mean, the essence of the story is still there. The characters we love are still there. I don’t know, I’m just rambling at this point. I’m trying to defend this with my life, but I can understand why there’s a hatred for what the author has done.

Minor plot spoilers.
TL;dr: A wholesome but very poorly written romcom with too many plot conveniences to brush aside. A bit cringe as well.
“What went wrong?”
“Everything…”
I’m no stranger to convenient romcoms, as it’s my most read and experienced trope right beside isekais, and I seriously do not understand the love for this story. I’m not going to knock this manga too much for its trope since I’ll gobble it all up anyways because of my lack of standards, but this is just a bit cringe and unnatural.
...
Sure, the kid is cute — there is no denying that — I won’t comment too much about the realism of the attachment since I have no idea, as I’m not a father nor do I have experience with kids, so hell if I know the kids aren’t acting like kids.
I do know, though, that the mc and fmc are … average? The mc’s your everyday self-depreciating mess of a person in the “popular girl x average…” trope, but he’s a bit worse due to him “calculating” every interaction like he’s a game character, which makes a lot of the interactions a bit cringe.
As for the fmc, there’s nothing much astray from the usual/typical type of girls in these manga, but I will say that she’s a bit too easy. It’s like the mc can just accidentally touch her, and she’d imagine a happy family with him for no reason at all. A small part of the charm of these stories is the small progress or interactions between the fmc and mc falling in love, but this has none of that.
Besides for the plot having A LOT of “convenient” developments — you know, the types where the mc goes, “oh, my parents are gone and won’t ever appear in the story…” and “I conveniently met this REALLY SIMILAR LOOKING girl when I was a kid and she totally did not fall in love with me.” — the plot is quite bad due to some rather forced developments and odd panel arrangement.
I don’t know what went wrong in the process of writing some of these panels, but certain panels do not match the previous or it’s a sudden “skip” in thought/action — this is really prominent in the first chapter, and it makes the whole introduction kind of awkward. The art is also nothing noteworthy, and it might be slightly worse than your run-of-the-mill romcom, but I won’t speak much on that.
A bit late for this, but the side characters don’t act human — yes, I know they’re manga characters, but their personalities and actions felt off as if they were only there to have the mc have a “knight in shining armor” moment.
To give a rundown real quick, the author can not write a school-like premise for crap, as all the characters don’t act real nor logical; HOWEVER, the cute interactions of the child are pretty wholesome, so basically chapters 1-2 are a mess, but chapters 3-4 are more enjoyable due to the lack of side character interactions.
The story’s a bit of a brainless mess at an attempt of a wholesome romcom manga with a child being the main lure, and I don’t blame people for liking it. They want to see cute, easy interactions, but it’s a bit too bland and unreasonable for my taste. It also doesn’t help that I literally just read a manga that does a REALLY similar premise to this, but it’s actually well-written and logical with three times the wholesomeness — Koori no Hime wa Chiisana Hidamari de Tokasaretai (if anyone is interested or likes this manga.)
PS: Hope y’all enjoyed a more critical review of this manga unlike… some prevalent bias in play. Don’t hate me too much !

I usually don’t know where or how to start off a review of any caliber, but this one is different; different in the sense that I have so much to say, but I don’t know how to incorporate it — simply put, this is amazing. I never thought the day where a purely, strictly wholesome manga of a kid manga could be so enticing and enjoyable due to the lack of drama.
The lack of drama really makes this story so much better than it should be — there’s some small, very small drama that occurs, but it’s all natural and necessary — with that,
...
it also was not drawn out for eons, making it unbearable.
For the plot. Oh, how do I start off with the plot. You already know it has minimum drama and maximum wholesomeness, but this story is so well-written that it’s almost ridiculous. Seriously, the first chapter alone made me question why this couldn’t suffice as a stand-alone one-shot manga due to how conclusive the story felt.
Though, I can’t lie that I’m a bit happy that the story didn’t end there since the plot thereafter was equally fulfilling by going through numerous of personal character development and struggles; of course, this was handled perfectly via quick resolutions.
All the characters felt realistic — this is hard. Really hard to execute for any ridiculous romcom premise, and I’m a bit shocked. Besides for the fmc being on the extreme side of the “ice princess” personality — which is not a knack on the story, I quite enjoy it — every character felt alive and their aspirations weren’t off the grid ridiculous.
I don’t love wholesome mangas as much as the next person nor do I love stories involving kids, but this? This is what I love.

Let me tell you, this is definitely one of those mangas that makes you look over your should every three panels due to the rather… detailed art. I was reading this in a library, and I definitely do not recommend.
Putting that aside, the story is basically just “I can’t believe it’s not hentai!” I swear I’ve seen similar concepts done in pornwha, and the writing’s quite good, but when it’s dumbed down, you kind of question yourself since the entire plot is “mc has sex/fanservice with a harem of girls with no other conflict besides for slight resistance by the average Tsundere.”
Anyways, all the
...
characters look like your average manga character (that is hot, ofc) despite the good artstyle.
I’ll say that this is not my cup of tea, but it might be yours. I’m not judging…

I didn’t think I would have loved this manga as much as I did since the story is another, presumably, run-of-the-mill romcom with a dense protagonist and a fmc that’s a copy-paste of every other popular girl romcom story, but this is truly amazing due to its pacing and the more unique personalities of the characters.
Don’t you hate those female leads that never bother rising up the mc and never realize their true feelings until chapter 40? Well, I do too, and thank God this fmc has actual balls and attempts to hang out with the mc, which is really refreshing to read nowadays
...
due to how the roles are usually reversed or they’re so indecisive that it becomes annoying.
The mc is alright — he’s not annoyingly dense, and he’s an admirable character who has a passion without it being too overbearing onto the actual story — or when it is, it’s incorporated into some funny scenes and plot development.
Of course, a manga about sweets and deserts is also sugary wholesome, as the interactions between the fmc and mc are some of the cutest things you’d read in a romcom, and did I mention that the fmc is the most lovable fmc ever?
Sort of a similar vibe with “Bisque Doll” but a bit more wholesome and romance focused, which is enough to check all of my books. It also has a pretty memorable story, so it’s not your average “this gal loves me for some reason” manga — not that I hate them, but they’re a bit hard to differentiate when you’re reading 30 of them with the exact same plot…

“This is about to be so bad…”
“WHAT THE F*CK AM I READING”
When I say no words or warning could have ever prepared me or you for this manga, I mean it. This is by far the most outlandish erotica, no less manga, I have ever read; seriously, even doujins aren’t comparable to how ridiculous this story is.
On the bright side, the plot is incredibly unhinged in the sense of the manga having a “What the f*ck” moment each chapter; there are some obvious developments due to the mc’s personality, but it’s really enjoyable.
I will say, though, this manga has one of those do-it-all
...
mcs where the mc whips out a skill from Narnia without any explanation; in other words, he doesn’t work for his power or skills and is insanely overpowered, but it’s a fun read.
I genuinely have no words to describe this manga without coming off as boring or generic, which is the complete opposite of this manga. Everything about this is so absurd that I can’t even explain it, and I feel like it would be a disservice to give it a poor review.
Anyways, this manga is certainly not for the feint of heart, and the comedy is for … weirder people. I like it. You probably won’t. I’m going to talk to God and ask for forgiveness now…

I’ve now seen it all with manga — a manga about searching for f*cking whiskey. That’s the main drive of the mc, and it’s equally hilarious and genius. I’m not eben an alcoholic, and I love every second of this story.
Like every other ugly/orc mc stories, the story follows some rather predictable or cliche developments, but it’s somehow charming due to the well-written introduction and the god-tier art.
Seriously, the food should NOT be looking this good. Putting aside the fact that the food looks even better than cooking mangas, the art really adds so much to the story or characters — when a scene
...
is supposed to be portrayed as hectic, emotional, or funny, all of is there and more.
Right behind the art, the mc and fmc have quite literally some of the best personalities I’ve read, and their chemistry/banter is better than most romance mangas out these days.
There’s virtually no reason to hate this manga unless you’re “orcist.” Is that even a word? Probably not, but I love the orc/inhuman mc trope, and I love it even more when the fmc is even more unhinged than the mc.

I’ve only read around four Kaiju mangas in my reading career, so this manga is definitely out of my wheelhouse or expertise. Therefore, this review won’t be the most sophisticated or educated breakdown of nitpicks or errors, but it’s coming from a view of how an average to above average reader will react.
Now that I’m done yapping, I just want to say that this manga is good — so good that I couldn’t help scrolling with zero reaction to the actual manga; in other words, the scenes are pretty tense.
The world-building is also quite nice with a rather long explanation for certain backgrounds, but
...
there are other problems with some other concepts not being explained much or at all, which takes away from what could be a more powerful moment.
The mc is one of those “cool, calm” characters who usually show no emotion other then vengeance, which is good and bad at the same time — on one hand, the mc isn’t a certified wimp that makes you want to drop the story like shinji from Evangelion, but he probably won’t show much human emotions, flaws, or development.
Speaking of characters, I have some small issues with the side characters or rather how they were incorporated into the plot; I won’t spoil anything, but there were some rather obvious flags making the unexpected rather expected and not as emotionally compelling as it should’ve been for the reader’s or mc’s sake.
I said this review wasn’t going to be sophisticated but… oops. Anyways, this is one of those serious mangas where you’re not having fun per se; rather, you’re engaged with what the manga has in store. Idk, as a romcom and isekai enjoyer, this was interesting.

What else can I say besides for this manga being a well-written “glow-up” manga. You know, the type of mangas where the mc is an absolute deadbeat, but they, for some plot inserted reason, change for the better.
As for this, the story and characters is incredibly well-written, as you can truly hate the main character’s former self, and the plot isn’t too absurd to be like, “yeah, right” in regards to realism.
The manga is honestly pretty frustrating in the beginning, as the mc acts very punchable, but his character/personality is written well, and there isn’t much of a 180 flip in his personality —
...
or where there is, it was explained why, etc.
Side characters are a pretty nice addition, and they all serve some remote purpose besides for being disposable. They haven’t acted “unrealistic” either.
Not a bad manga at all; I would rate this higher, but the story is a bit in the air right now. Besides for some good writing in characters, this could devolve into an above-average power trip manga, but I doubt it will. I’ll update the review/score if it does, but it’s promising.

I’ve lost all hope in eroticas across the years, as it’s nothing but a sorry excuse of a manga to insert soft core porn into a crudely made story, but this is genuinely amazing. Besides for some minor plot holes, this story perfectly combines the tropes of “inserted into a game world as the villain,” “using bugs in a game world,” and “seggs.”
Where to start… the main character is one of those feel-good erotica mcs, but he’s not cringy or edgy in the process due to him retaining tons of his former flaws/personality as an average Joe. The side characters are also surprisingly well incorporated
...
into the story, and they don’t feel hollow yet.
The plot isn’t anything new in the “I’m the villain” trope, but it doesn’t have to be since it incorporates some more lighthearted sequences to balance out the edge that usually comes with such stories. Though, at the end of the day, it’s an erotica, so it uses erotic developments (sex, mind break, etc,) to get the plot moving, so if that doesn’t interest you then don’t bother.
Arts nice.
This is one of the very few eroticas with an actual plot, and the art isn’t lacking in any departments.
