One of my favorites in the 'op revenge-driven mc' genre of manhwa.

Story: 9/10
The story has a clear goal that the mc starts to follow from the 1st chapter. The lore is nicely developed and so is the worldbuilding. The premise is different from others in the same realm by choosing not to go the 'being reborn' route.

Art: 9/10
Art is absolutely phenomenal with the various vibrant and detailed backgrounds/monsters/weapons/items, etc. The action paneling flows very well and is very easy to process. Character designs are my only small complaint because some major characters have very bland designs.

Character: 10/10
All the characters are very well written including ... our MC and the side characters. A lot of them fall under the various cliches they are known for but it is handled really well and keeps the reader very entertained. The goblin is a character that is handled very differently from cliches and is a breath of fresh air.

Enjoyment: 10/10
I've reread this manhwa 2 times and show no signs of stopping any time soon. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to read something after solo leveling. Read this, you will not be disappointed.

Second Life Ranker is a great action fantasy alternative to popular manhwa Solo Leveling or other manga/manhwa/manhuas similar to it.

Story 9/10
Although sometimes not very well told, the plot twists and the journey the main character is really interesting to me and I enjoy the ride.

Art 10/10
The art is really good, pleasant to look at, and really nice. It's one of the better arts in the genre.

Character 8/10
The characters are portrayed decently but there seems to be an excess amount of characters to the point that sometimes you may forget some or confuse some for others. There are also some characters that are introduced that become ... completely irrelevant to the series, but I still really love them.

When first starting this manhwa, I was instantly hooked because the art looked really good and the story was promising. I wasn't wrong, this manhwa is one of my personal favorites and I can't wait to continue reading.

Probably the worst returner + tower story I've ever read. This is way below average for the genre. I hate to even say there is a story here because it's just so damn lazy. If you've read any manhwa in the past decade then you know exactly what to expect, except this one is a hundred times worse. The worldbuilding and logic is so poorly written it should be criminal. Apparently millions of people are playing this "game" for millions of years but in that time only the MC was able to get a magic pocket watch? It's so ridiculous I don't even think the ... author knows what's going on. The artwork is horrible. Most of the action is just 90's CGI monsters. It really doesn't get much worse than this.

It's below average compared to anything it is trying to mimic. It starts with a solid plot of a man trying to avenge his brother, and going to a world where there is a tower where one must rise through each Tower challenge after finishing a tutorial (Tower of God basically). Then late in the prologue and into the Tower parts the MC, who is a stiff wooden plank (wearing a mask so can't even show facial emotion), kinda wanders without setting clear goals for the reader. A few fights , mostly effortless "OP Protagonist" curbstomps, but otherwise low on action or direction.

But it is ... somewhat tiring to read the constant info-dumps about random systems, skills and magic. I would estimate 70% of the written dialogue after the prologue is just exposition about endless magic/fetch quest/skill/training systems. A love interest is quickly thrust on the MC but in cliche fashion he is oblivious to her romantic adoration and only talks to her about exposition. Few characters who stay long term.
Finally the art is subpar. Typical mid 2D art for character closeups, backgrounds that are 3D renders. There was an early scene with an underground flooded dungeon that had a background that made me think of Mario 64's castle dungeon area, complete with N64 textures lol
Also he becomes a necromancer in a way exactly the same as Solo Leveling but with more exposition
