A Huge Disappointment
It's bad. And sadly, really bad.
I started reading this because many people were saying it's a fantastic manhwa — bullshit. It's one of the worst manhwas I’ve ever read.
The story is absolutely boring — bland, repetitive, and incredibly predictable.
The art is terrible, it honestly looks like the author is drawing for the first time.
...
The characters aren’t completely awful, but they’re far from good. Most of them — including the MC — are just tired clichés we’ve seen countless times. A few of them have decent backstories, though.
The first chapters were extremely hard to get through. Between the bad art and the generic story, it was painful to read. At some point, it almost became interesting with the introduction of various entities and organizations, but it quickly fell apart. It turned into the usual manhwa with an overpowered MC who’s either insanely lucky or just randomly gifted absurd powers by the system — no real challenge, no real tension, just constant power-ups out of nowhere.
I’m seriously thinking about dropping it, but I’ll probably finish the available chapters — I’m currently at chapter 132. Still, it’s tough to push through. This is the inevitable downfall of any story centered entirely around an OP main character. If you’ve read similar manhwas, you’ll understand my disappointment.
What makes it even sadder is that the mix of mythology and fantasy had real potential. I wanted to like it. But the author just throws in random elements to keep boosting the protagonist with no real narrative consistency.
If the story improves in the future — and to be fair, the art is getting better — I’ll update this review. At least, I hope I will.
