Now this must be my favourite currently-publishing manga, I confess it. Though to say so may be considered less than seemly, because this is not a "good" manga. In truth, it's very much part of the mosquito-like swarm of harem series, which are somehow or other so popular, that they easily survive by feeding on the readership no matter how good they be in reality. Upon reading this manga attentively, you should notice that it's brilliant in a technical sense. In all its simplicity, the art is divine. A thing strangely oft' forgotten is that when readers are expected to ... follow along with a story told in short chapters which consist mostly of art rather than text, that art must be something at which readers enjoy looking. Aside from the art, and all of the characters are endearing—or at least, not actively frustrating when they appear—and the story has no obvious, large flaws.

Why, then, is it fun to read? There are those, assumedly, who'd say that it's cliché; this is true, of course, but is that such a bad thing? In fact, it's probably the same exactly that makes it so. Whatever it be that's said, I want to read cliché rom-coms about childhood friends, because it's fun. If a manga is fun to read, I'll read it, be it however good from an objective standpoint. If you like this genre, you may have heard of the anime "My Sister, My Writer"; this anime is a disaster, a totally hideous mess, a wonky mixture of dog and she-goat, but Mary, mother of God, it is a lot of fun to watch. A work can be enjoyable because it's objectively good, or for some other unrelated reason, and I don't really care which one it is, because this one is damn fun to read.

By the way, the thing about arcs being one-chapter is only at the very beginning of this manga; there is mostly standard-fare thereafter. Reviews aren't supposed to comment on other reviews, though, so for accordance's sake, let it be said that I say this in a predictive sense... sure.

This is one of those romantic comedies where the main and consistent theme is "constipation".

There is no love progression, there is no character development, there is no plot, it's just a loop of cliches and fourth wall breaks that only work if you know anything about the harem genre or have interacted with a large majority of japanese romantic media in the otakusphere from the 2000s - 2010s.

It teases you with things that COULD happen but then immediatly does a 180, almost in a mocking manner; "HAH! You actually thought the character's feeling MATTER??? Like any actions actually have CONSEQUENCES??? You're so fucking stupid LOOOL"

All ... the girls are shit and clear copies of already existing clone girls from the genre, they are nothing but boxes that have been ticked. They exist because they "have" to, not because they actually have any sort of purpose nor will they ever achieve anything until the last chapter drops.

We have:
The sweet"one who is incredibly boring and will likely get with the main character by default due to being the first girl introduced.

The psycho tsundere who can get away with acting like a complete cunt because she's pretty.

The tomboy who has fat tits and a tan, that is all she's got, she just exists to be the tomboy with fat tits and a tan. Probably also going to develop into the comedic relief.

The one who acts all ditzy but actually has more going on than all the other girls combined. Because she's so much more interesting and actually kind of attractive, you absolutely do NOT want her to end up with the main character because he fucking sucks.

Overall, it's perfect. It's the exacts kind of thing I need for a good rage session before I write something myself. Call me strange all you want but trust me, if you have writers block at any point pick up a manga or anime that you KNOW you will hate because the rage fuels your fire.

Reccomended, but keep in mind that it is complete garbage.

There's an extent to how much a manga can rely and get carried on its premise; this manga has extended said extent, milking it dry until there's no progression left. Similar to all good romcoms out there, this has a gag, and it follows it pretty well; however, there is no progression.

In the word "romcom," comedy only makes up half of the story, while romance should be another half. Despite that, the author decides to shoot himself in the foot every chapter by making one step forward and two steps backward each chapter; I kid you not, the most progression this manga had was on ... chapter 2; from there, it was a spiraling chain of regression in relationships with the oh-so ominous words of "Romcoms don't happen between childhood friends." The characters are pretty basic with deceiving depth; they are nothing more than archetypes that do not progress solely due to the author's desire of keeping a comedy gag.

From the cover art of each volume, there will be an ever-increasing amount of fmls; however, the author should have instead focused on his three main characters, developing them before thinking of incorporating a throw-away love interest; this manga is nothing but lazy writing with a good gag.

The art is decent and generic. There's plenty of fan service. Usually, this should be above average, but the story really drags it down. At chapter 39, i honestly gave up on this.

Plot
Basic nice guy MC with no personality. His two childhood friends love him and want to make MC fall in love with them. But the girls always mess up their plans and reset the progress back to zero at the end of the arc. repeat this every 2-3 chapters. Eventually, we will add more harem members like a loli and a tanned tomboy.

Review
So, here's the template. One of the girls finally decides ... to take a step forward and finally make MC fall in love. She starts scheming and tries really hard. MC is now almost ready to confess. The girl suddenly gets cold feet and says "lets forget everything that happened and be good friends". This makes MC believe that none of the girls have romantic feelings for him, and its all just his delusions. So, we go back to square one again, where another girl decides to take a step forward and finally make MC fall in love. and the whole story repeats again. and again. and again.

At first, it was okay and funny. But after 10 chapters, the characters feel incredibly stupid. How many times are we going to use the same gag again? After the first 10 chapters, i would just skim any chapters focusing on the first two girls as it is mostly going through cliches/troupes like fireworks or staying in hotel etc.., but don't worry. the progress will always revert back, so you won't be missing anything.

The loli/tomboy chapters are slightly better as they have a certain sense of self-awareness. But the story does feel meaningless as nothing ever changes.

The comedy is just the usual harem slapstick too.

I recommend avoiding this headache and find something better to read.
