Both of these titles are based around the concept of a place in afterlife that is neither heaven or hell, where the cast meets a certain entity which converses with them about their lives.

Both manga are mostly episodic and are about someone choosing whether to take revenge on someone they hate or not.

Both manga discuss the basic premise of what happens to a human soul after a human dies - and how the soul is given options to choose from, which ascertain its future. However, while Skyhigh follows an episodic approach to this subject, in Livingstone, the premise is set up as a stepping stone to a larger arc - focusing specifically on one person's lost soul.

Both manga deal with what happens in the after life - and how your actions their determine the future of your soul. We also have a mysterious female figure, who appears to be unbiased while offering choices to the lost souls that come her way. She also acts as the judge, jury and executioner of the souls that she encounters, depending on her actions.

Both are about a kind of gate keeper to the after life and their impact on those who have died (Skyhigh) or at risk of being killed by the dead (Dark Metro).

Both are short, episodic supernatural horror series with a recurring protagonist and an otherwise perpetually changing cast that deal with death, guilt, revenge, and punishment.

What do people do when they live and how do they face their death? Will you be able to tell that you've lived a fruitful life on our deathbed? These are only few questions which bring up those mangas. Even though plot and characters are completely different to each manga, questions and problems that face their characters are pretty the same. In the end they all have to decide - to forgive or to take a revenge on someone. In Dead End the main hero gradually moves toward his final decision and in Skyhigh we witness many people trying to solve this problem. One more  read more
