Dying. It kinda sucks ngl. It sucked so hard mc here decided he'd go have a little scrap with death via his immortal flower idea.
The concept of immortality is something that has always intrigued me. I will go on about it a bit later, but that is not the point of this one-shot even if immortality has the element of life in it, which this manga focuses on a lot. Life. It's a funny thing, we all have one, and it is very precious stuff. I mean if I didn't have a life I wouldn't be able to love kuudere women as much as I
...
do now, which would totally suck.
Anyway, in the first few pages, the way life is dealt with here is a little cringe if I am honest. To not be able to understand the meaningfulness in death such that you go out of your way to spend countless nights without questioning the matter of it when working on something eternal came across as a big unrealistic cope as if someone was tone-deaf to their own surroundings. However, this all quickly changed when the motif shifted to the people rather than the flowers. You know, take care of yourself, and your life has more meaning to it when you give it meaning, being alive and living the moment for what it is is the good thing about life. This manga does a good job of saying that in a really wholesome way with the conditions of both characters and just the execution. It is a beautiful story, even with my minor criticism at the start of it, which is probably just a me thing though.
The art is really good too. Didn't think it would be as good as what I have witnessed but this is seriously something to give respect for. It probably appears more often though, I mean, thinking back on what I have read and I wouldn't be surprised if a similar quality was already witnessed by me, however, I would not be the first to say continuous interactions of something with the same quality then means that the quality decreases as you begin to see it more often. It is just very good albeit nothing new. Probably.
Anyways, I came here from the MAL Florist stack, yes, I am very late. But I came in clutch and thank God there are one-shots to read on there. Thank the heavens even more that this was a nice wholesome fast read. It makes me think about the actual huge huge ocean of manga that awaits. Maybe I will go on a one-shot reading spree one day. Only time will tell. But I can tell you that time ain't killing this immortal flower lol.
