8.1/10
I’ll be honest, I did not like this manga within the first few chapters as everything was predictable and cliché. However, each character fulfills their role splendidly well: either making the readers hate them or grow a strong attachment.
Though, I must point out that most of them are semi-one dimensional as they have a fixated outlook for the protagonist, which is frustrating. Where I truly find excitement in this is the combination of the jam packed fight scenes with good art and the needed bloodshed/failure. Not only this, but it particularly does a well job at garnering our empathy and evoking emotions (I cried

a little).
I’m interested to see where this manga goes next, as it has a strong foundation that has been established in the mid-chapters. I hate saying this but as the manga progresses the better it is getting.
PS: This is similar to Black Clover and Mashle, so if you enjoyed those then you’d love this. I dropped Mashle around chapter 70, but I don’t think this will share the same fate.
