The first 10 or so chapters is definitely a 10/10, the author had a great concept and execution, I can't say much more without spoiling it.

However, after the 12th or so chapter, it's almost like they gave the story to someone else; it suddenly becomes a generic fighting manga, and they start introducing random elements and half assed lore out of nowhere. I was really disappointed with the sudden change in direction, and I wish they kept going with the original idea.

I do recommend you read it, but you'll be disappointed when you reach the sudden change in story.

This manga is an extremely bizarre case, the likes of which I have never witnessed before in a piece of media.

Before we begin, the first ten chapters of this manga are absolutely stunning, very detailed backgrounds, an amazing gothic art style, nice character designs, good humor, and above all, a captivating story. Without talking too much about the first ten chapters, which you should read, let us see what went wrong.

First, a little bit of history. The author, Bota Mochito, was a hentai mangaka, publishing two works in 2015 and 2016, both of which look great in terms of the art, but the style doesn't ...

I'm really enjoying this manga so far.

It's a bleak and rather disturbing manga that plays around with some bizarre concepts such as messing with time and how people need to follow destiny that is predetermined for them. A huge part of the manga is the balance between happiness and sadness, joy and loss, good and bad events.

The art is stunning and conveys the disturbing atmosphere really well. A lot of the panels seem claustrophobic which shows how the main character feels about the city.

I'm excited to see how this manga develops over time. Obviously these kind of high concept manga can make ...

Just caught up with this manga today and it’s great so far

Story
So the story of this manga is nothing like I haven’t seen before but it isn’t generic either. I would say it’s similar to all you need is kill in that aspect where the characters try to break a loop. So far the story isn’t anything special but I believe it will get better as the manga continues
7/10
Art
Art is definitely the best aspect of this manga and the main reason I started reading this series in the first place. It’s absolutely phenomenal I would say. I might be exaggerating but I ...

CyanData's review about this manga falling off and becoming a generic fight manga after ch. 10 is accurate unfortunately. Since then, it seems that beyond ch. 20 it takes another turn and may become interesting again, although I suspect that the fights are still going to take centre stage (I can't confirm this as I can't find a translation beyond 22). Really, Coffee Moon is at its best when it just doesn't talk about factions or fighting, but instead about wrestling with your desires/dilemmas. The art in the first ten chapters is also really good, it has a calming bitterness to it that really captures ...
