First: I think this is work of good amateur. A good amateur who know how to make a lovable main character despite lacking skill to make an outstanding story.

The best thing about this novel is the main character.
She's an absolute cute awkward introvert who's lacking common sense about social skill which make her an adorable character. Her thought, action, and sometimes unexpected quotes is the one make me love this novel.
She got OP power but her personality isn't like those usual heroic isekai protag.
The second likeable character is the MC's only friend. His personality is more shown than the rest of the characters. But not ... good enough because we can see that his only purpose is to be the MC's friend.

On the other side, the story is the one I find lacking.
The good thing is: this story didn't copy all the "RPG bundle pack template" like Adventure Guild Class system etc. Only medieval, magic, level, and demon lord. Still templateish but at moderate level.
The plot is so rushed that it only capture the main events, skip few monts, main event, and so. The author skipped most the "micro development events" which where we the reader can get absorbed by the character.
The plot fail to 'catch' the reader to love the characters from simple daily encounters. While those small events are the one that make us see all the colors of the characters. Instead the plot is rushed which is not eventful as the plot is so linear already.
The plot is so brief that it look like a rough draft of a better novel.

A decent story about selectively dense girl living her life in "unfortunate" circumstances with cheat powers. There is an obvious overreliance on miscommunication to move the story along, but usually it does not hurt the quality that much. Problem arises when this device becomes overused and goes from cute and entertaining to stupid and torturous. The longer the story goes on, the more it looks like the characters' growth has been replaced by their gradual transformation into a caricature of themselves - especially evident with MC and how she reacts to leveling or her social awkwardness. The whole love confession and wedding planning thing is ... just torture to read.

The anime adaptation of this story contains only a somewhat modified first book (main differences is the in boosted role of Alicia and her relationship with MC, so it can have a happy ending in one season). If you have seen the anime recently, you can probably skip to the last chapters in vol.1 and start there, as the ending is somewhat changed by the absence of "game plot power", which is the anime thing. In the book Alicia is just kinda strange or more like a normal person which was traumatized by MC.

The story has a lot of references to Japanese pop culture, sometimes you can guess that a few of them have been localized into western variants. In both cases, they feel underwhelming, as localized references look out of place and Japanese just go over your head.

1 vol. - probably the best volume.
2-5 vol. - entertaining to read, decent plot progression.
6 vol. feels like filler, a tangent to the story. Not completely disconnected, but still meaningless.

This book is a magical-fantasy romance novel with "suspense".

The issue is that the magical-fantasy (i.e. the world-building) is incredibly plain and shallow, romance (and all the characters except the protagonist) are never built upon, and the suspense is never followed up on. This last part is especially heinous, as it leaves the reader with questions regarding a lot of the plot. Answers are never given to these questions. All this set-up for a grand plot and nothing is followed up on. Nor are there really any mysteries. Instead, we're left wondering what the consequences of these actions are, and why some characters performed certain ... actions during the course of the novel.

Perhaps then, this novel is also a mystery? But no, there simple isn't enough substance in the novel to answer anything.

If you look at this novel as a "slice of life", the novel is merely acceptable. However, because the author goes through so much effort to explain things that add to the suspense of the story, this becomes a drama and not a slice of life. But none of the suspense is resolved, leaving the reader left feeling unfinished.

Perhaps this novel would have been great if the author was given another two or three novels to fill out the series. However, in the Afterwords, she says [paraphrasing], "This book has been adopted from the webnovel, but I added about 50% more content!" I shudder to think about how desolate the original work was.

The novel isn't completely irredeemable. The protagonist, side-characters, and their hi-jinks, are interesting until Chapter 4 (~45% of the book). At that point, everything falls apart. Had the author continued what she was going for initially, we would have wound up with a laudable-for-an-amateur slice of life novel. However, starting in Chapter 4, the author decided to not build up anything anymore and remove the interesting bits of the story, as well as making the protagonist into a dense idiot, thoroughly ruining all the previous good work that she has done.

I wouldn't recommend this book to anyone except aspiring authors for the explicit purpose of learning what not to do.
