Let's quickly get this out of the way, if you're trying to read something with a great depth-filled story you've made the wrong choice. This is a wonderful Slice Of Life, that warms your heart and makes you go "Wow this is so cute, and lovable." As far as Slice of Life manga's go, this one hits all the points for a cute, romantic, fast& easy read needs. Uchi No Kaisha no Chiisai Senpai no Hanashi (Or My Company's Small Senpai) is the perfect casual read, for those that want the moe and cute reactions.

Art: 8/10
It's not the most complex art, but its simplicity and ... art style draw out the type of Slice of Life this is. It's cute, adorable, easy to follow, and elicits that "aww" reaction that it's aiming for. Saiso did a great job flipping from the full drawn panel, to comical/cutely drawn panels. Reading panel, had me falling for the characters.

Character: 10/10
In a Slice of Life, this is one of the factors that decide if it's good or not. To be completely honest, if I was being a serious critic, I'd mark it as an 8-9, and maybe even a 7. Because the characters aren't profound, there isn't any real backstory. However since this is for a Slice of Life, web comic, where each chapter is around 7 panels long, I'm going to rate the characters based off of that.
You can fall in love with each characters innocent and cute reactions, the blushing scenes are filled with that good "moe" and innocence that tons of Japanese comics throw ecchi in these days (not to say there aren't some perverted moments). You fall in love with Shinozaki and his senpai, Shiori Katase, fast. And you even get attached and involved with his other coworker/bosses relationship, their personalities and reactions all hit home with what you'd look for in a short, simple, and sweet sit-down read.

Story: 4/10
There is no real story, not that I expected any. You start off immediately seeing your main character sick in bed, and things just shift around with mentions from the past chapter with each on-going chapters. However there is no real development aside from relationships, and 1-2 character introductions. You just peer into the day to day lives of Shinozaki and Shiori, and enjoy the scenes that you're given.

Enjoyment: 9/10
I wasn't looking for anything crazy. I didn't want a heavy story, I didn't want arcs after arcs of developing worlds. When I picked this book up, I was expecting something super cute, with maybe a tiny story development and lovable characters. I got most of what I expected and had hoped for, and they even gave me more in terms of the characters and art. It was cute, and that's all I have to say. Its a fast read, so you never feel like you wasted time (unless you just plain hate this kind of read.)

Overall I'd give it an 8/10. As this is a slice of life, that's why it got the scores it got, I didn't base this on comparison of other manga's like Naruto, Jojo, Berserk, or Great Teacher Onizuko. As I've already state, this was very cute, I got the emotions the characters portrayed, and enjoy each time a chapter comes out so I can sit down for 1-2 minutes of reading.

Its Very Wholesome and just what you need if you're feeling down or just wanna read a wholesome romance. Definitely want an anime adaptation for this The characters are funny and make you want to keep reading chapter by chapter, I started reading and now apparently Im on chapter 18 already, I never knew I could read so quick!



Story: 8/10
Its not very elaborate but its perfect for the genre this series takes place in. It takes place in a Japanese white-collar company where the two main characters work as salarymen. It's story and vibe reminds me a lot of Wotakoi, just they aren't otaku's this ... time.
Art: 8/10
I'm not much of an art guy so I can't say whether its good or bad on a professional level. But as a guy who has read an ok amount of manga I definitely think this is a decent art style and enjoyable to look at.
Characters: 9/10
The characters are funny and honest with themselves. The main characters both like each other and its abundantly obvious to everyone around them. Neither of them really seem to have the courage to ask the other out, and also them working at the same office doesn't help. (most offices forbid inter-company relationships)
Enjoyment: 9/10
I have not had a dull moment reading this manga so far. Some manga I've kind of skimmed through to get to the main plot, but this manga's characters are really funny to read, and it really is enjoyable.
Overall: 8.5/10
Overall its a great manga I can't wait to read more and for more chapters to come out. I really hope this manga gets an anime as it would be amazing!

It's a very cute, diabetic, and wholesome slice of life manga with absolutely little to no plot/ story besides the one that's written on the synopsis. Having no plot doesn't necessarily mean it's bad, but also depends on the context. And for this particular story, it's one of those "Ah, I'm getting diabetes reading this. It's too sweet" and continue reading. Rather than having a full blown linear story progression it's more of an anthology which isn't bad in itself, so it's quite easy to read and digest.

The artwork as well is outstanding, character design and backgrounds. Details are more focused on expression ... giving some minimalism on backgrounds.

Definitely recommend when you're looking for a romantic slice of life read and when you want to take a break from action and adventure.

In the standards of a web manga, this is good, however, in the standards of a manga, this is okay at best. Simply put, there’s no real flow in the story with numerous of developments and depth of characters, instead, the plot revolves around cliches, and the characters act according to their setup.

The plot has no real substance — instead of a visible and progressing events, the plot employs the good ol’ tactic of “use a premise to farm clicks until the premise dies.” As such, each chapter has one to two same formulas: The fmc gets mentioned as cute, and there are corresponding uneventful ... and cliche events, or there is an emphasis on the “progression” of side characters’ romance.

The characters are one-dimensional — they have an archetype, and they will stick with that archetype until the manga’s completion. Despite this, their interactions are still enjoyable and diabetic worthy, and the side characters’ romantic developments/emphasis are also maintained at a reasonable amount, existing out the mc and fmc. Though, I will say the characters do not act like “Seinen characters”; instead of displaying adult-like tendencies and personalities, each one act like a middle schooler coming off romance with their crush, which is somewhat enjoyable but irritating at the same time.

Depending on the type of interest, you’d either hate this manga for its lack of reasoning and developments, love this manga for its blissful character interactions, or you’d fall right in between like me where the diabetes and the lack of progression are at an eternal struggle to the manga’s enjoyability.
