The series is... diabetic. It's cute. It makes you clench your chest and say "Ahhh, this is so damn cute!". The start of it would immediately get you hooked because of 1. the art style is just gorgeous, and 2. the character interactions are funny and sweet. Typical office setting with some romance (maybe).

As far as character development goes, not so much. There are only about 3-4 notable characters so far but at least it helps with remembering names. The art and details that are focused on each character, especially on Kannawa Azusa, is also superb. Feels similar to Violet Evergarden.

It's quite enjoyable especially for ... those who seek diabetic romances and go doki doki and for casual readers who want a different genre to tread on.

One of the most addicting mangas I've ever read, "My Awkward Senpai" is in three words - cute, sweet and wholesome. I feel like I have diabetes after reading so much of this manga tbh...

The art style is just... wow. So beautiful. I have no idea who the artist is, but I hope they keep this art style up, it's one of the most beautiful out there! The story is very tight, as well as the cast of characters, which helps to keep the manga intimate and nicely wrapped, like you're watching a family album. The plot - it's a romcom, what do you expect ... from a romcom? It's a bit cliche, but honestly, where it differs, is it's unbelievable amount of wholesome and cute moments between the two MCs.

One of the best romcoms i've read, I guess I'm a sucker for the cuteness of this manga!

Is it cute? Yes. Is it wholesome? Yes. Is it exciting or entertaining? Well, not exactly. Though the manga is inherently wholesome and cute, like noted before, it’s just not anything different from the usual romcoms that have been developed over the years, resulting it to become rather boring and cliche.

Character chemistry is probably the main thing I want to note on. Though the fml and ml get along well, there’s just not much tense, exciting moments between them, which make a wholesome romance manga worth while. Because of this, it’s rather lackluster and solely relies on the wholesome acts that are decently cliche. ... Through this as well, the plot is revealed to be pretty shallow with there not being much difference or change up in the overall mood.

This is not a bad manga by any means due to the art and characters; however, it’s also not anything special due to the lackluster plot and writing.
