Epic shoujo fantasy manga characteristic of Ichiraci magazine that have powerful, yet sensitive male leads who all characters naturally gravitate towards, even their enemies.

Many similarities including a boy who doesn't want to be alone and has a group of friends, all with special skills. in this case, rakan and yuki both have a special power that is very important, have similar personalities and needs to be protected. in another case, one friend from the group are really protective of the main character. For the plot, both groups from SD and Uragiri are trying to save the world in all, you get the same feeling for both

Both are a good shounen ai and the relationship of the main character and his pair are really deep. if you love boy x boy pairing and not into H stuff yaoi, then both are recommended.

Both contain characters that have the extraordinary ability to grow plants. Silver Diamond deals with a parallel Japanese universe, while Graineliers takes place in a historical setting. Both also have a character who is part plant as well.

both series are about a seemingly ordinary (or close enough) teenage guy who meets a non-human man, who protects them, as the two travel around a fantasy world. the main characters both actually have special powers that they did not know about. Chigusa and Raada are quite similar in their attitudes towards the main characters, although the main characters themselves have quite different personalities. i think if you liked one, you will probably like the other, although nagaraja is a bit short.

Both manga are shounen ai revolving around the adventures of the main characters. Both also have a hunky and very strong seme and a kind hearted uke. Both also got comedy touches but Tokaido hisame is more funny.

Kid who is different from other humans. Strongest demon guy travels with kid and protects him. All around they are very similar and both very good.

Both manga are funny and cute. The seme are strong and handsome while the uke are kind hearted and cute.

apart from same shounen ai genre there is not much similarity between the two. in fact komahohi is slice of life ordinary school life story whereas silver diamond is fantasy . but if you like komahosi i bet you will like silver diamond too.i loved the art, character buildup and story line is pretty solid too. Silver Diamond was my first shounen ai read and its become my all time fav reads. so give it a try...

Both have beautiful boys relationships in a well thought out fantasy world setting. While Silver Diamond is not strictly BL and focuses more on the deep story, Hengoku no Calendula explores the romance of the two main characters, while still creating a great story and battle scenes with monsters. The dynamic of the two proagonists is similar, with a pure and gentle one paired with a mysterious stranger, that has trouble remembering his past.

Both series have a very peaceful, spiritual feeling and a gentle pace, with the main character as a boy with unique abilities who use them in favor of the others. While Rakan travels to a paralel world in order to save it by growing plants, Takashi deals with what is invisible for the most and splits himself between the world of humans and yokais. And their kind, understanding nature attracts those around them.

Not the same in story line but both are just shounen ai (for people who just love boy pairing but not into yaoi with H scenes). Both got pretty good hunkies among the characters.

Both are shoujo fantasies with a similar feel to them. Lots of long-haired bishounen. Though not truly shounen-ai, they have have some BL gags. Bijoux also has gender swapping.

Beware- SPOILERS! An exiled royal traveling with their protectors trough a degenerating country. The main characters are both said to be legendary creatures who are supposed to bring peace to the people. Akatsuki no Yona is a ahoujo adventure with a tad of fantasy elements, Silver Diamond is a sci-fi shoujo with shounen ai elements.

Both works involve well-developed, imaginative fantasy worlds that contain interesting people, magic, and creatures. The main characters, Shino and Rakan, attract unique, likeable allies. They are considerably powerful themselves--one wields a living sword and the other wields plants (quite effectively!). Overall, both works are beautifully drawn and read like a fantasy novel.

Both are epic, fantasy stories in a different world where a "monster" finds a companion that brings piece

The stories are very different, and SD is a shonen-ai, but both are great epic stories that take place in a well-developed world. The humor is similar in the two.

My first impression is that they both have similar vibes. Main characters of both manga have the strong influence to the ppl around them, not only that they have caring personality. Both manga gives off warm and fuzzy feeling (at least in my opinion ;) ).

Different world, gorgeous guys, a high purpose, what more can you ask? Two very cute shounen-ai mangas, with two very cute main characters (Sawa Rakan / Shibuya Yuuri), surounded by very capable, cool, beautiful guys, with the only difference that I consider Silver Diamond to have a better plot quality. But I really did enjoy them both (and still do)

They just... DO (resemble one another). Cheerful, lonely guy, kind of pairs up with a powerful, even more lonely and avoided guy, and influencing him to open his closed heart. :)

Epic-length BL (Boys Love) manga by authors who plan in advance.

Light shounen ai/yaoi supported by a solid fantasy story.

I not really sure but they both give of the same feeling. Their art work is quite well done and I think if you like one you'll like the other.

Both mangas entail the story of a member of a foreign land (Plant Kingdom) who transports to the human world in search of a savior who loves plants with an uncommon affection. Silver Diamond is a well-developed plot with a hilarious cast of characters with different personalities which make for an interesting read. (Over 10 volumes and more) Barairo Emperor is like a crack-version of Silver Diamond shuffled into 1 volume. But, hey if you're looking for a cheap laugh, it's a contender. Personally, SD is the better read and you won't regret it.
