I just don't like most of the things they've made in the last decade or so such as: Bobobo, Beelzebub, Shaman King, Yugioh, and One Piece. Something about their art style and child/teen geared humor just gets on my nerves, and one the occasion that they do make a half decent series like Bleach or Naruto, they stretch the series out for as many years and episodes as they can and it just waters down what might have been a good thing. Its gotten to the point where I fear what series they'll make next.

Tsuiokuhen was not made by Shonen Jump or its affiliates, and was written by two different people. Even if the original story is a shonen the OVA does not reflect it as much as other Rurouni Kenshin works in both storytelling and art, and even if you want to say the connection is still too strong, I say that even things like Shonen can play a part in something good every now and again. Even if its as indirect as this.

Yeah I've picked up a few of those before, but just like me, I never catch up to anything I start xD. I thought The Breaker was really interesting and will probably catch up to that sometime....

I'm actually about to start up reading Berserk again and maybe get in some 20th Century Boys since my friend won't stop hooting and hollering about it. Other than that just anything I can find really that looks interesting.

Better than Mitsuru Adachi's works? That's a pretty high statement :3.

Yeah Clamp can get pretty.......shoujo. But it's all in good taste as the story is pretty interesting(although I haven't read through the manga myself yet.)

Cool cool, let me know how that turns out. How was Whistle!?

Happy New Year by the way :3.

Ah how was it?

And in terms of recommendations, I might have a few...

If you want something on the more light-hearted side. You could check out Yotsuba or Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou. I would also throw in there March Comes in Like a Lion but I haven't read too much of it so I can't really recommend it that well.

If you haven't read it yet, I'd also recommend checking out the one-shot Hotel by Boichi. Although, I think that's just me who likes that a lot so I dunno about it xD.

If you want some action with a little bit of romance thrown in throughout you could probably go for Tsukihime or Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer.

And hell, I'll throw in Bokurano since I always like to tell people to read that. Hmmm.... Yeah I think that's about it, sorry if that's not enough but hopefully you can find one you like >.<.
Vensito Dec 20, 2011 11:29 PM
Hmmm anything specific you looking for? Or anything you're in the mood for?
Vensito Dec 20, 2011 10:17 AM
Ah nice, what you planning on reading? Any gigantic marathoning planned? I will assume that by now you've gotten your hands on Sims 3, if so how is it? Sorry for the late reply I have been pretty bad about that stuff these past couple weeks.

Yeah. Well anyway, you have anything planned for this month?
Vensito Dec 5, 2011 7:04 AM
OH! I get it now xD. That's pretty funny because I've been trying to finish up the movie series lately, I'm watching Half-Blood Prince right now actually.

Well being a guy, there is this gigantic wall that seems to be insurmountable to me.
It’s time to ditch the text file.
