Just a queer m & a fan.
I enjoy reading josei and seinen (well, seinen a bit more) I like; - oldschool and alternative manga - kick ass shounen jump mangas, as some zombie apocalypse or postapocalypse/ survival mangas -horrors and sypernatural-mystery stories - yuri/shoujo ai and yaoi/shounen ai.I enjoy not too flowery(but still cute) fluff and realistic relationship/porn, bromance and romantic friendships. - mindfuck and cyberpunk. - gender bender, mangas about gender identity and gender roles -japanese mythology and folklore. My fav anime generes are sci fi and action with girl leads. Im genderqueer ( X gender-Xジェンダー) and bisexual (ryoutou 両刀使い) Languages; German, Polish, English, Silesian, Japanese (currently learning) I'm not a native english speaker(and a bit dyslectic) so forgive my bad grammar and possible misunderstandings . But you're being harsh towards the BL genre - there's some excellent Shounen Ai content out there. Plus, this is not the only genre that has sexist or homophobic issues. For example, you get to see more sexism and objectification in shounen and ecchi, but I seldom see their target audience (aka het dudes) complaining about that. But the same dudes become super critical when it comes to BL, so there's a lot of hypocrisy among fans as well.
There are actually many BL manga out there that represent queer characters in a decent light (if you discount the sexist attitudes of the mangaka towards their homo couples)
We are currently in the middle part of the season and at the Anime Guild our main specialization is being a Seasonal Club.
We choose the best Opening, Ending, Character and of course Anime of the Season with also a Review Section and a Power Ranking Group.

Well, I was thinking earlier that I wish there was a dating sim where I could play as him trying to win over Mitsuki or Akkey—an unbeatable game but lots of fun. That's my imagination for you eh ^_^
Anyway, I see that you like a lot of the same stuff as me. I loved your top faves, Yurikuma and Nozaki-kun; scifi with female leads kinda is what makes me say I'm an anime fan rather than just a fan of particular anime. But stories with 'romantic friendships', now that's something I'd like to read/watch more of, any titles that refers to?
