I'm quite sad to write this, as I had initially read up until chp 21 and loved this series as something not to serious with a good sense of humor. Coming back after a while to re-read and catch up, I remembered the quirky/cartoonish way this series handled the generic isekai tropes and managed to make me laugh doing so. The author does a good job of giving the MC a lot of skills without bogging down the pace of the story by having you read too much about every single skill. Only the important skills are emphasized and explained through examples rather than a ... simple text box and description. The art is also a standout as the incredibly emotive features of the characters enhance the story telling quite a bit.

However, after roughly chp 24 the pacing jumps into high gear and the story becomes hard to read. What was an easy enough to follow story about survival is flipped on it's head as new skills are added without explaining how or telling us what they do, and the tone of the story takes a full 180. Plot twists come in, but that only makes it harder to tell what's actually happening as the author keeps throwing new information our way. Then right at chp 37 it cuts and jumps right back into the tone and style of story telling they had excelled at before.

Mediocre. Lack of development in all aspects. Characters have no attributes to make them stand out, and of the 40+ characters summoned, only 3 of them have names (even though most of them are present throughout the story). The world is basically just an environment to introduce monsters for the MC to battle. The first antagonist introduced has no meaningful impact on the story. There is no real conflict worth mentioning. The "cheat skills" that were introduced to create the comparison between the weak MC and the strong classmates are not used. Not even the most powerful skill that created an arc was used. Due ... to these issues, the concept of the manga falls apart.

This was sort of disappointing.

At first, this series starts off with the typical isekai start, class is transported to another world, he misses out on skills, whatever, he's gonna become OP. The thing is, it starts in a forest and instead of going straight into this magical adventuring tale about how this and that and how he's gonna accumulate his own harem it instead starts with this mystery sort of plot. There's someone who's pulling the strings from behind and manipulating the class and though you might have a vague idea of who it is you can never really be sure because you don't know ... many of the characters.

This premise and start was good I'd say, but the thing is it goes downhill fast. As soon as they leave the forest it becomes any other isekai and they go to join the adventurers guild, he builds a harem, and then yada-yada he's super powerful and that's that.

There's this later plot in the story that I won't get into to avoid spoilers but it seemed promising at first but falls to the same problem of the typical overpowered isekai protagonist fixes all and not in a good way. Sufficed to say, it was rather disappointing

I have read until chapter 17, So far the story is progressing of pretty good. This is a story about a Loner's survival in another world. The story starts of at the usual MC and his classmates transported to another world by god, But before they travel to another world they get to choose a cheat skill to help them out in difficult situations, But the twist about this story was.. It was first come first server, Obviously our MC was last, and all the Cheat skills were taken.. Since god felt bad for him he decides to give our little MC all the remaining ... skills that were available and sent him to a forest to start of his new life in another world.

Feels like someone's first attempt at writing anything, let alone manga. It starts out extremely rough as if the world wasn't finished being planned out. Despite this, it had some (albeit minor) charm for the first 50ish chapters. However, it quickly falls into ridiculous tropes and pitfalls, making up terrible excuses to continue with every new arc. The writer makes half-hearted attempts to fix how shallow the main character is, but they do that by placing him into more tropes and practically re-writing his character entirely to make him more serious and burdened by moral conundrums that don't even make sense. This effect is extended ... to other characters that completely lose their personality. At this point (chapter 158), there have been so many types of plot holes, it's a headache just to keep track of what's going on. The story has become illogical, and implausible and the characters have completely lost what little charm and individuality they started with. It's just a poorly planned story that continues to impress with how much worse it can become.

i am not really into isekai/harem type of genres, but this so far- for me.

is decent, and that's all i could say, everything's decent. the art is nice, the story is progressing, unlike other isekais, in my opinion, isekais that include real hard work, grinding in particular are really satisfyingly nice to read/look at.

chapter 1-2 was nice, it gave me a some kind of oregairu vibe, the character literally looks like 8man, like what. anyway the way the old man introduced him to his newly obtained "skills", that part was hilarious, don't want to say this but i hope the harem doesn't ruin the whole ... loner business he's going with right now, it's nice to see a "loner" being an actual loner y'know. because if a loner were to have a harem of idealistic, optimistic, "mean" girls, then that would look dumb.

This is a manga that has a pretty good beginning and then just falls of after 25+ chapters. The stakes throughout the manga get higher but somehow, I never feel as though anything bad will happen because it becomes so obvious that the MC will solve it rather easily. The manga loses a lot of its tension and interesting magic that is introduced is dumbed down to be used to build waterslides for his classmates to screw around instead of doing anything interesting. The world which was originally dangerous and threating to our Mc has now become a joke to him, no characters are in ... danger and when it seems something interesting will happen via the frequent cliffhangers, they are abandoned next chapter and suddenly everyone is all right. The manga has become complacent, lackluster, predictable, and boring. Everyone is too powerful, unconcerned about the reality that they may not see their families again, nothing is a threat to them, the MC solves everything quite easily and no villains are powerful enough to pose a problem. The manga as of this moment has become a slice of life with half-baked Romcom attempts.
This manga has way too many problems and a terrible sense of tension, this manga has lost its appeal and is afraid to try anything new. This is a series born on complacency and has grown too accustomed to the peace formed by the MC. The MC has a dream to be alone but has strayed way too far from that path and it seems he is only saying that because the author needs to remind us that the series is called “lonely attack on a different world”. By the way this title is a lie not just because the MC is always surrounded by people but also because he never instigates anything that would be considered an attack on the world, problems just pop up and he squashes them easily. This manga has no drama, lackluster action, no stakes, barely any romance, poor worldbuilding, incomplete characters, no originality, and is unable to suprise the reader.

Hitoribocchi no Isekai Kouryaku after the first arc has nothing to offer but a half-baked story too afraid to live up to its title.

This manga is a bit disappointing. It has a pretty good premise, and the initial chapters made it seem like it was going along a fairly interesting route. But then things changed in a major way. At some point, the core gaming mechanisms like 'leveling up,' 'unique skills,' 'Level caps' etc. just went out the window. The OP seems capable of doing anything he wants. He is the ultimate cheat character. And if the mangaka would so blatantly disregard the game system, why even introduce it in the first place? Why give him the ... status of a loner and jack of all trades if he is going to turn out to be one of the leaders of his classmates and someone who is great at every skill? Why does a lv 11 newbie defeat a lv 100 dungeon boss? The leaps in the MCs capabilities is very difficult to explain. In the end, the reader is just forced to switch off their brain and accept it blindly. This is terrible for immersion.

The male lead's personality is also pretty nauseating. True, he is not some vile guy who takes advantage of his classmates. But he does seem to be some unique kind of asshole who takes great pleasure in doing whatever they want while other have to cover for them. I'm not saying that I think he ought to have joined the leaders in planning and management. I'm saying he needs to learn to be humble and work with his classmates, especially since his classmates seem to like having him around and want to work together to minimize risk. He seems to enjoy making his classmates think of him as some sort of maverick. He comes off as a overpowered cliche from a male lead of this genre who never really struggles in his battles or commits to any real friendships and relationships. The guy just seems so hollow as a character.

This manga does have things going for it. It is fast paced, so things never get boring. Even the less-enjoyable arcs zip by quickly. Some of the supporting characters are pretty nice people, especially the geeks and the athletic club. The 'mean girls' also seem to have had some character growth in this world. The fight with Tanaka was thrilling.

Overall, I'd say this manga does have some merit as a quick read when you need your isekai fix and you've read everything else under the Sun. But it did not hold my attention long enough to catch up to the latest chapter and I'm certainly not in a hurry to revisit this series.

[In short (this entire paragraph)] This was pretty good. I liked it, you probably will. Hitoribocchi no Isekai Kouryaku features a class getting isekai'ed, makeshift politics between classmates and a loner with added comedy. The MC is likable, and maybe at times relatable. He's intuitive, realistic (sort of) and wasn't given a cheat skill. The guy finds ways to make life work, and that's the overall charm. It's good, but drops off. I'd say when he starts getting more and more involved with his classmates, that's when it starts to go downhill. This manga does a good job on not dipping below a 6 at ... all times, which is nice but it could be nicer.

This section references another review I saw after writing. Hitoribocchi no Isekai Kouryaku falls into typical OP Isekai MC problems. I'd say it can be saved, but at this point it's questionable.

After a certain point, everything I said in the first paragraph will become utter garbage. It doesn't apply. The good things I mentioned kind of just fade away after a while. It's up to you to judge, but I doubt you'll make it far without being bored.

Oh boy, can you guess how many of the tens of characters introduced get more than a couple panels of screentime? It's close to the amount that have names or personalities. Time's up, it's ten percent. Moral of the story, don't add more characters unless you want to use them. I've got to admit though, the entire class was required for the plot, but they could have at least done something about names and behaviors. I don't like how they treat their character's. I would rather the author kill them off (some are already dead why come on). The main character who originally had a personality doesn't after the 40th chapter (i think).

It just goes downhill. The six is a pity score for the beginning.

First of all, DON'T. I read this and it made me question my life decisions. First, the art: The art is actually good, it's drawn really well, and I can understand what's going on. Second, it's the worst and most boring story I've ever heard of. There is zero character development or any development at all. I thought this was something about leveling skills to be competitive or fighting the Demon King (you know, your typical isekai), but it's all about a boring class with boring people in it and a boring MC who complains about how unfair this boring world is. But he doesn't ... complain in a funny way, nor does he complain in a way that gives you the "I need to get stronger" vibe. He just complains like, "omg~ you all are cheaters ~tehe". It's so boring that I want my lifetime back. I think this manga should never exist. It's really not entertaining at all, and it has zero reasons to continue. And I hope you all don't read it. Really, don't do it. It's not worth it.

Garbage school drama with zero story. The comedy here is completely obnoxious with everyone overreacting at the slightest encounter to anything. Every panel is someone laughing, screaming, or crying ramped up to 11 for no reason. You would think with a manga this ridiculous they would at least add some actual jokes, but nope. The entire series is just people running around acting stupid. Absolutely couldn't stand it after the first volume.

As per usual with the isekai genre, everything here is just can excuse to have the overpowered MC running around showing off his insane level stats. Who needs any type of story arc ... when the most powerful warrior who has ever existed can solve the problem instantly? Half the manga is the MC saying, "wow, I got a new skill!" This type of trashy isekai gets old after the first chapter.

The title and first few chapters could have led to a nice flow, but instead they both get completely tossed out just a few chapters in. Following that is the most hilariously appalling overpowered as hell mc with absolutely zero explanations and a million contradictions to prior things, as well as just finding items every other chapter with effects that basically say "make you god". This is truly the worst thing I have ever and likely will ever read/watch, but it *is* so rushed and stupid about it that I could understand some people finding it fun bad. The art style is decent but quality ... is not so much. There are zero enjoyable characters.
