I'm not fully on board or even planning to get onto the villain/villainess bandwagon but all I know is that Ore no Shibou Flag ga Todomaru wo Shiranai is a perfect 5/10, or maybe better, maybe worse? To begin my review, I need to just say that I haven't done many reviews, and the ones that I have done, most if not all are deleted. Now with that out of the way, I'd like to talk about the elephant in the room. This manga has barely if not the minimum any introduction. If you're reading this before you read the manga, this isn't a spoiler
...
but a fact. You will step in and find that the author is: A, assuming you've read the novel, or B, assuming you've read any other isekai (stuff like Konosuba, Shield Hero and Sword Art Online(?) but if you're familiar with the villain/villainess fad, Harehura). Things are also thrown at you at random (SPOILER like the hero having to kill something or the world ends, it's predictable but weird because it comes up out of nowhere, it's like you're supposed to know everything) So onto the actually story element-
Story, 3
Nothing actually happens in the chapters I've read. He goes on and on about how the person he embodies is evil but doesn't do anything to change it. I mean, if being evil will get you killed then isn't it a good choice to just, y'know, stop being evil. He isn't evil, but acts evil. But putting that aside, he tries to do things that are productive. It isn't much, things like using game knowledge to grow better and faster plants, or to make potions, use magic etc. It still feels sluggish. This guy does things that in another context would be entertaining, but somehow feels like a chore.
Art, 7
Nothing much I can say here. It's good, full stop.
Character, 4, or maybe less
Our Main character is from Earth, and having hijacked the mind of a ten year old game villain, aims to clear his future of possible 'death flags'. It doesn't make sense, because in the end, there's only one flag. The game's villain is slain by the hero's party, and that is pretty easy to prevent. He just needs to live with what he's got and move away from the thing that will get him killed, and work on from there. But he doesn't. If I've got to be honest, this MC is decently smart. He can plan ahead and problem solve but the problem is his personality. He doesn't have one. Other than caring about this life or death, it's just... not there? Sumeragi, on the other hand, though being a side character has a personality plus slight development. The authors priorities scare me but regardless, its a 4 for mediocre.
Enjoyment, 5
I'm going to be honest, this section is more about my experience reading this rather than the actual manga. And I'm not really enjoying it that much. It isn't funny, nor is it interesting. I feel like I could be doing anything else and it'd be more worth it. Honestly, I'm only here because there's nothing better for me to do. What the story does is something you could probably find somewhere else. In my opinion, enjoyment will depend on how bored you are.
Overall, 5
Don't get me wrong, Ore no Shibou Flag ga Todomaru Tokoro wo Shiranai isn't the worse thing ever, but neither is it the best. I've seen everything in this manga done better, and would recommend you choose something else. Maybe it could have been better with an introduction. If they had explained everything, maybe it could have been a 7, maybe an 8.
