Both are class romcom between one boy and one girl, where one of them try to do something weird and the other give reaction (Boke & Tsukkomi comedy). In Saeki san, Saeki is trying to sleep during class and in Seki-kun, Seki try to do different weird stuffs.

Both are romcoms with great art and characters, as well as a similar classroom setting wherein the male protagonist befriends the girl sitting beside him. 

In Maoujou de Oyasumi, Syalis is dedicated by any means to get the perfect sleep. She goes through many tactics, and even make her own mechanisms to get better sleep. In Saeki-san wa Nemutteru, Saeki uses an arsenal of tactics to get the comfortable and efficient sleep during class. 

Both have that cute fluffy feeling to it, all tho Seaki-san is shorter then Senryuu, I highly recommend it  

Male MC has a crash on female MC who sits next to him. The female MC usually does something unusual in the classroom that attract attention of the male MC. They are simple episodic manga with only few significant character and conversation only a limited specific topic.

Both is about the protagonist befriending the girl siting beside him. Both of the girl seems to have a side of them that only the he knows at the start: Komi-san's bad communicating skills and Saeki-san's love to sleep. Both the protagonist looks and act the same (dense)
