This is a unique manga. Dubiously underrated.
The protagonist is a guy called Totono.(weird name) He is smart, calculative and not at all shy to voice his thoughts. Every chapter has a murder mystery and yet the feel of the manga is very light, enjoyable. Can even say it’s funny. Even philosophical at times. Story: 9 I love episodic manga, with a little world building. And this perfectly fits the bill. We see whodunit murder mysteries, and very logical explanations and deductions. ... Apr 17, 2022
Mystery to Iu Nakare is a famous manga with sales more than 15 millions as of now (Which is rare for josei manga). Unfortunately it's not yet have official translation.
This story follow Kunou Totonou who has high observation skill, critical thinking, and always speak up his mind. He also often question values, stereotype, system and things taken for granted in society. In this story, Totonou will solve many cases and if you pay attention, you will realize we actually know about him little by little from each case and you can even guess his past if you pay attention in one panel of chapter 1. ... I. Intro:
I am very picky, especially when it comes to detective series, which does me no good when there are so few mangas belonging to this genre. I went into Mystery to Iu nakare with no expectations, and came out with it being my favorite series to date (in only 12 chapters, at that!). I would say Mystery to Iu nakare is fairly episodic, and were I to describe it in a few words they would be: profound, engrossing, and enlightening. I’m writing this review, in the hopes that even one person decides to pick it up and give it a try. II. Characters: Totonou and "The ... Mar 4, 2022
I am enjoying the live action.
Mystery to Iunakare.... Mystery to Iu Nakare or Do Not Say Mystery. Kuno Totono is a psychology student at the university who always lands himself in trouble with muder cases. He actually isn't someone who goes looking for cases but cases rather find him. He has a vast knowledge of everything from books of all kinds to flower language. He loves different types of curry and is rather sensitive about his afro curly hair. He doesn't work any part time job as one would expect a university student to and has a horrible character because of his logical, rational, pessimistic replies according to both ... Jul 16, 2024
Immersion: 9/10
For the 2h that I read the manga, I forgot about reality. It really was that effective. It wasn’t so much the characters per se, but the plot that gripped my attention the second I began to read. From then on, it was a continuous ride through well thought out, (unique!) mysteries. Main character : 7/10 The main character is interesting all right. Though his self professed intelligence is a little too vast and deterministic. He declares theory as dogma and decries dogma as theory. Still, there is reasoned empathy in his thoughts and that’s what I liked. He was a little 2d though ... Feb 18, 2023
Totonou Kunou is a quirky college kid who just wants to be left alone. Despite his unassuming exterior, he's insanely smart and perceptive. But Totonou isn't a bigheaded genius, he's just an introverted student who really likes curry and really, really wants to be left alone.
Every story arc presents a situation that Totonou gets dragged into unwillingly, with a quandary he has to unravel. He collects observations over the course of each chapter that lead him to the truth behind the mystery. His truth bombs are impossible to predict and yet make so much sense every time. And that's because the mangaka seeds the ... Jun 27, 2022
Abstract: 7/10, The story and the writing is very good but the art is messy and poor in some chapters, the manga can be better if the author improves his art.
For the fans of mystery or cases of murder this manga is a must read, but that is not my case. Although, i enjoyed until the chapter 12 because is interesting after all; my only problem is the art and the style of the work in general. Sometimes is clean and relaxing but other times is really messy and painful to see, however i believe that there is space for improvement for the author (as ... |
