If you're looking for a scary bone chilling thriller... this isn't it.. (especially if you're a fan of those kind of murders). If you're a fan of slice of life, Supernatural and tomfoolery, then this is perfect. I'm a huge fan of the Mangaka of the Manga, so I just had to check it.
Afterall Shin Kibayashi is the Pioneer of the mystery genre, and even before reading it, I knew that it will give me that Kindaichi feels..
Quick-witted banter, intriguing locked room mysteries, ironclad alibis and a somewhat steady stream of awkward jokes make Gifted, a very enjoyable.. humor aside ,
...
this series does a great job of balancing fairly low-brow humor against thought-provoking mysteries.
Shiki is more the “straight man” in the series. He sees the big shadow shape representing guilt among the suspects in the mysteries and is usually the one to point out whodunit . Even so, he can’t help but get wrapped up in the awkward hi-jinks that occur all around him thanks to the detective Natsuki.. .
Detective Natsuki who is eccentric and handsome mad scientist like character , is one of the oddest characters I’ve seen in a manga.. He takes himself seriously, but then again he doesn’t at all. He has confidence, and yet, maybe not. It’s hard to pin point who he is as a person, because if nothing else, he is consistent in his inconsistencies. Is he a genius or is he an idiot? But he is the one to figure out the tricks of howdunit and prove that Shiki-kun is correct..
As far as detective mysteries go the story arcs are based on individual cases. However, what makes this manga distinct is the fact it circles around a ninjutsu art, often mistaken as supernatural ability.. . The murderer mysteries howdunit parts were intriguing and well thought out and entertaining; however, whodunit parts were predictable thanks to ability of Shiki - kun.

A comedy gag manga that focuses on the two main characters, wannabe mangaka Akiko who works in the same company as the other main character Kenichi, her father.
Himawari: Kenichi Legend is mainly a quirky gag manga about the daily lives of a wannabe mangaka and her goofy father.
The comedy take centrestage of the plots, and the manga goes overboard with the unique personalities of the various characters.. However, it doesn't feel the funny stuff is too much over top, out of place or awkwardly written.. even though some scenes in the manga are plain silly.
it's comedy gold and brings
...
tears to your eyes with laughter.
On the other hand, The romance part of the Manga was secondary focus and was included as fillers to shake up the attention of the readers from getting bored with an otherwise one track comedy manga.. A father-daughter relationship that's fascinating, immersing and enthralling to say the least.
the superficial supporting characters are only there to enhance the uniqueness of the main character.

A beautiful and shy introvert girl who loves books more than life runs a Second-hand Bookstore. Her deduction methods and skills are impressive as she derives her reasoning from her knowledge and experience of going through, probably every book in the world. It's a mystery series but instead of a gruesome murder, each chapter fills you with warmth and endearment as she slowly uncovers beautiful and twisted secret people have kept locked and hidden through the soft worn pages of that person's favourite book.
There are not many thrilling mysteries or much of suspense either. The mystery plot is not exactly what we
...
say 'Kindaichi like' ...
It is a quiet, slow and sweet slice of life manga, mostly about human relationships and how books can somehow bring people together. Some nice and unique stories about the mysteries of human relationships of people who visit the second hand book store, revealed through the pages of books..

The series focused mainly upon main character and recently promoted police detective Taketora Shibata Forever being mistaken as a teenager due to his youthful appearance, Shibata finds himself being sent illicitly undercover by his new boss in order to resolve juvenile crime cases...
Didn't like The pacing of the manga. rather than tediously dragging out events, but rarely presenting golden-opportunities to explore characters or solve weaker plot problems also.
there’s the poorly-explained “ fantasy” elements surrounding Taketora’s supernatural ability throughout the series.admittedly this is a pitfall.
It fills the slice-of-life, comedy, detective, mystery genres well enough ; there is little romance and some parts are
...
a bit cheesy, but nothing too horrible.
Shibatora’ however is not for those wishing to indulge in an avant-garde, well-written and memorable detective and crime manga , like myself..

It's such a simplistic manga, yet it manages to raise such piercing questions in how the higher-ups in the legal system and the general public view and interpret law and justice. And to that end, Ichikei no Karasu's message was clear that true freedom requires the rule of law and justice and a judicial system in which the denial of rights to others does not secure the rights of some. And that judges should not just interpret the letter of the law but understand it and apply it fairly and justly.
The seriousness and the humor are a perfect balance, with each chapter just as the
...
moment became too dark and mysterious, someone within the "Ichikei" team managed to lighten the mood; whether that be with humor, a confident speech, a story that seemingly has nothing to do with the topic at hand.
This is a nice manga for anyone who's searching for a nice light comedic manga yet with some great new ideas for mysteries interesting until the end-
You will laugh, cry, get angry, worry, and almost become a detective; it is a very enthralling, mysterious, charming, intense, and immensely entertaining manga.

First the synopsis and some spoilers
Daimajin meaning (the great demon god) is the ace inspector of Metropolitan Police.. The fiery Daimajin carries rather unhealthy sense of justice.. When he arrives at the crime scenes he seems to know everything from just one look.. He knows where the victim's things like phone, computers etc are, what he had as his last meal, stuff like that before anyone else,
but that is because he holds a dark secret… he deals out his own punishment by killing the criminals who never get punished by the law...
Like how the rich people, billionaires, the elite businessmen, high ranking
...
government and military officials, etc.. People who can't be touched by the law even though everyone knows what they did warrant arrest, but they can't be arrested..
That's where my guy steps in for the kill.. He is the hitman of the police, like Keanu reeves from the movie Street Kings..
But when His secret is discovered by Saimon Hirayasu, a critical and apathetic assistant commissioner. Daimajin is somewhat blackmailed into becoming Hirayasu’s lackey and gets uncaringly used by him. Daimajin get transfered to the special order investigation group led by Hirayasu and, under his command, “secretly puts an end to” criminals that the police are really incapable of arresting. But by doing so, Daimajin will step into the dark side of the state and the police organization, which must never be messed with....
This is basically the Manga of the movie street kings.. It's action pack, murder plots, evil doings, cover ups, hush money, mass media manipulation,
Good cops killing bad people, bad cops killing people to cover up national scandals and fill their pockets ..
The first chapter deals with pedophila.. And a former commissioner of public security kidnapping and killing little girls.. Since he lives in imperial building and imperial pension, he can't be touched by the law.. He is above the law like Mal mods and Admins.. but the daimajin kills the pedo and framed it as a suicide..

The Mitarai family are wealthy and they have run a hospital for generations. One day, their home burns down in a fire. 13 years later, Murata Anzu, from a housekeeper agency, is hired by Mitarai Makiko.
Anzu and her sister Yuzu are convinced that Makiko, their mother's ex-friend and father's new wife burned down their childhood home thirteen years ago and destroyed their family in the process. Their mother who admitted to causing the fire is currently hospitalized with a case of amnesia and they are desperate to find evidence proving she is innocent hoping it will help her to heal. Anzu uses her best friend's
...
name to get hired on as maid at Makiko's house..
If you're into suspense thrillers that will keeps you on the edge of your seat, Burn the House Down may not fulfill your desire.
But for me, it's More of a family mystery than vengeful thriller, like you see in old mangas like Kindaichi involving super rich families...
The sisters determine to clear their mother's name regarding a fire from thirteen years ago by taking on their greedy stepmother who is evil beauty.. The kind of woman that I love... The unexpected turns kept me intrigued throughout the story.
Additionally, the bond between Anzu and Kiichi was a highlight for me. I admired how Anzu made efforts to heal Kiichi's emotional wounds.

The main character Jozuka can identify people who commit murders as she claims she can hear spirits of the dead . She leads a lonely life due to her special ability. Jozuka Hisui meets mystery writer Kozuki Shiro, who helps the police to solve cases. Jozuka Hisui and Kozuki Shiro work together to solve cases.
With a supernatural context, at the sight of the theme of the mediums, and the presence of the delusional police inspector very typical in detective manga.. This Reibai Tantei Jouzuka Hisui is rather dark, but not miles off from the comedies of detective mystery novels. What is
...
lost in humor, we gain it in fright.. This Mystery Manga is seeking to immerse us in the creeping spiritualism sessions of our adolescence.
the role of the main character is being a medium who gets possessed by spirits of the deads and communicating through them, the maturity and the mystery of the each case it gives off,the aura of the cases add a spiritual emphasis to every murder case while retaining the thrill factor of a murder mystery series.. And if you can find it overplayed, it is to forget that she camps a character of spirit medium. Her powers have isolated her from the rest of society, we can understand such character traits.
Even if the cases are independent, the Manga follow the tracking of yet another serial killer of young people ingenuated throughout the series. Originality will therefore not be the strongest point of the manga. The seriousness of the series can confuse the readers, as the mediums, Supernatural events seem to take an important roles in the events that happens..
The mystery is presented to the reader in whodunit and howdunit. Each mystery describes the whydunit from the criminals point of view and seen through the criminals eyes..
Even if The murderers are obvious, it's the murder methods/tricks and cracking the alibi that takes centerstage..
The Manga challenges the reader if they can solve the alibi tricks from the same reasoning and ask the same questions as the meitantei and draw up a vaid theory and find the evidence from all the clues presented to the readers..
it is mostly an Alibi cracking and whydunit mystery series, where even if the culprit is easy to figure out, how the criminal committed these crimes is the difficult bit as the criminals often have an ironclad alibi.. So the Manga encourage the readers to crack the alibi of the criminals and find out the motive behind the murders from all the clues presented to the readers by the main character Jozuka Hisui by hearing the voices of the dead victims or so she claims..

The creature is actually a raccoon dog called Tanuki...tanuki are famous for being fat and cute and there's lots of myths and urban legends about tanukis..
Anyway the woman is beautifully drawn and i live her style.. short hair looks cool and nice and lean figure of the girl is certainly attractive..the drawing style is eye catching..
The tanuki is cute and cudly.. like all cute animals in manga...
I love rain.. so this fits perfectly and the title caught my eye...
Gag manga, lots of comedy, hot woman, cute animal, slow slice of life... Very enjoyable read...
Short and sweet manga about a woman and her new strange pet.

It's a manga about the traditional Japanese sports of sumo wrestling.....
The settings is like that of any high school sports club but characters are different...
The girls are big and strong...
I love that this manga did something different than the traditional Japanese manga norm. That always portray high school girls are weak, thin, cute and fragile...but this is a Manga where girls are big and strong, rough and tough...
It's all right for girls to be big and this manga says exactly that.. that's its cool to be big and strong even if you're a girl...
Breakfree from the gender biased and sexism and show the world girls
...
are just as good in sports.
It promotes women sports and i love it ..
I love this idea that more and more girls play sports...
It's funny and highlight all the issues with women's sports and the problems women generally face with how society want them to be...
Give it a read... It's funny, tackles sexism, social issues, sumo action, etc...love it. Very unique character design.. so refreshing to see a change from the Kawaii girls stuffs
