This manga makes me laugh, because of the way that it doesn't take suicide seriously. The MC is an average copy and paste highschool boy who is suicidal, he was randomly walking down his alway when he bumped into a girl with an eyepatch and accidentally picked up her notebook to read a "suicide notebook" the story really just consists of the characters finding a way to commit suicide. So why should you read this manga? because it's funny of how it doesn't take itself seriously and also for that really good scanlation translate and the art in the manga is very good for me. ...

Overly edgy mess that is supposed to appeal to the audience that considers posts on im14andthisisdeep subreddit to actually be full of wisdom. This manga portrays and straight up fetishizes suicide as something cool. Besides that Yakedo Shoujo deosn't have much going on in terms of characters or art. Male lead Kaname Aizawa is as forgettable as if he was simply a side character. Female lead Shiina Hinami at least tries to be a little bit goofy even tho it doesn't really work. Art is fine. Simple, but I guess that wouldn't be a problem in this case. I don't know, maybe later in manga ...

The story is not that bad. Just fucked up I guess.

Characters in this manga is interesting :) You have a cheerful fmc, your typical antisocial mc, an ex girl who lives with her father, a step sister、an fmc childhood friend and the rest are nobodies.

Art is 8/10 for me it soothes my eyes somehow even some panels looks rushed... just like the story.

On how the story goes I somewhat don't understand why but it's feels like it's just a typical day in japan.

I enjoyed it even till the end even tho I'm forced to read it in japanese cos halfway through it lacks english translation.

to think of it this work came at a good time for me. I was living something different at the beginning, middle and end of the book, I feel kind of sad that it's over, I wanted to read more chapters, it was something to escape and fantasize about.

It was a nice story, kind of edgy and vague but it grew on me, I think I would do the same as the protagonist and try to escape from the monotonous and kinda hard life to live this fantasy while wanting to have a happy life. the three poles of history are interesting

Why did the author ...

This was too much for me.

The art is good, the storyline is somewhat interesting, no awful fanservice.

But the tones are just too much. The way it so light-heartedly deals with straight up domestic abuse, sexual violence and other just... awful topics. I'm not sure if it's supposed to be a joke, or edgy, or what, but I don't enjoy it.

If you like REAL psycho girls, then this might be for you. No anime yandere here, this girl is actually messed up and there's reasons for it. Effed up reasons. Not my cup of tea though, no no no.

Initially, I thought this manga would be a philosophical one, where I could expect to see nihilistic tendencies of these teens and incidents in their life that brought them about.
But gradually it became very clear that it was crude and straight out gross. The main character is bland, pretentious and doesn't have any appeal whatsoever.
The author needs to understand that being obsessed over death and having masochistic/sadistic tendencies are two different things. That, the formula to a dark themed story isn't just pointless violence, sex and grotesque corpses.
The author could have used philosophy as a tool to bring out the emotions that he wanted ...

Characters seem younger than needed to relate but also make interesting their development, it keeps you intrigued about whether they will turn in killers, suicidals, or neither.

Ironically the art doesn't feel sad or gloomy as the characters intend but on the contrary, generates a good impact on bright expressions scenes.

The main character's personality, art, and dialogue often get eclipsed by female's lead character. Although this seems to intend us to relate his "normal" point of view and train of thoughts makes me feel that it wasn't strong enough and it'd had better development if his story was ignored and the plot was focused on ...

Mixed Feelings
This manga is somewhat messed up. The main character's name is Kaname Aizawa and he has a fricked up home life, so he always thinks about killing himself. He goes through everyday having these thoughts and doesn't really hang out with anyone. He is walking in the school hallways when he accidentally knocks into Shiina Hinami. Both of their books scatter on the ground and Kaname picks up Shiina's notebook. He opens it and is surprised to find out she has written down bad things. Like, "I want to commit suicide" things. For some reason, he agrees to follow her to a torn down elementary ...

This is a manga that I would recommend to a very specific demographic of people.

The manga's story centers on the suicidal ideation of the three main characters, showing how each of them fantasize about death in different ways in reaction to the lives they were dealt. The main reason I think this manga is going to alienate a lot of people right off the bat is that it never tries to portray its characters as WRONG for feeling the way they do. The story never makes any attempt to "fix" or "save" its characters. That isn't to say that it condones suicide either. It just ...

Yakedo Shoujo; where to start? Well, on the optimistic side it had it's moments but those moments aren't necessarily anything to write home about. It's mediocre really, although it doesn't really rub me the right way with it's approach towards suicide.

Story: 5/10

Yakedo Shoujo portrays suicide and depression very crudely. If you're looking for a heavy dose of psychological horror and philosophy; you'll be disappointed with the lack of it. Despite MAL giving it the horror genre, rest assured, there is none of that. In turn, what you really get is a incomprehensible mess of a narrative.

Let's get into the story. In the world of Yakedo ...

I liked this manga, as the 2 protagonists for their reasons want to commit suicide, but it is really stupid because she and her teacher want to do it and the protagonist wants to commit suicide but it shows that in the end he will not do it because he has those impulses of killing someone or himself, their story is somewhat striking, the ones I liked the most were the adult woman who is going to commit suicide and the protagonist's friend, she does have real reasons to do it, I like this manga because ...

I can read Japanese and I read all of it (available for free on sukima for a period of time).

I think some of the reviewers here are too mean to the manga. It is just a manga. Don’t take it too seriously. It is not trying to be deep either. Just good old psycho horror.
I like the artwork. The gore is not as frequent as those gore-filled mangas, but it is there where it counts (actually pretty good, if you like that kind of stuffs). The story is entertaining enough. You might like it if you like psycho female characters.
